RE: KMP P-38

So, if I understand you correctly, the rudder is controllable but hooking it up is an option.

Not having a filler valve on the retracts would seem to be a design flaw, certainly there must be a...

I love the GP Easy Sport, it flies great with an OS 46 FX, and can do just about anything you can throw at it

KMP P-38

I am planning to assemble (ARF builder don't build, they assemble) a KMP P-38 for the winter.

For those who have built it, How does it fly, what engines did you use (I am thinking of a pair of...

RE: KMP (Kondor Model Products) ARF's

Well without revealing anything that you gave a blood oath not to, if someone were to come out with a B-23 (+2), when do you think we could expect it, hyptohetically speaking?

Also, I was thinking of a Zen 26. What do you think of that powerplant for the PT-19

Can the US 40 do the crow?

The US 60 is set up to do the Crow by using separate servo's for each aileron and flap surface. Each servo is put into a separate channel.

So you have 2 flap and 2 Aileron servos. If you go to...

Looks interesting

Any idea about who distributes it, and what is the cost vs. the established gas engines, also specs vs. established gas engines

Would love to talk to someone with some experience with it, if that...

I hate to bear bad news

Yellow Aircraft will no longer be selling their Warbird ARFs.

They will only sell the kits.

Sorry, but that is the way it is.

You might find one, but it is like gold, and very expensive

Looking forward to seeing the pic

Must have been quite a crash

I would have liked to see it myself

It really doesn't say alot about the stuctural integrity of the dazzler though

But it must have been spectacular!!!!

That would work

I think the Dazzler is at least 1/2 thick at that point, so 1/4" hole would not be huge in comparison, it is also near the leading edge, and if done on a angle I don't think would impact the CG that...

Anything can be repaired.

That being said, I would have to see the picture to really offer any advise, but what about using fiber cloth and epoxy to glass the seam. that would give it as much strength as I could envision.

whstlngdeath, I Have moved on

I have given up on VQ

And you are correct I should have done my homework first. My bad.

TThe P-38 line was dripping sarcasm, and if you knew me you would know that. I didn't expect one from VQ,...

Maverick, thanks for the correction

Going to order it tomorrow

My kind of magazine, sort of a consumers reports for RC Enthusiasts, doesn't get any better than that.

I have always used MAN, and the other Mags as just a fin read,...

I can't believe that you just figured out that all MAN reviews are fluff!!

That has been true for as long as I can remember.

The power of the internet is changing things though.

There are very few publications that have the courage of their convictions, I am glad to...

I would go with the World Models P-51

One of the guys at the field has one, his is the yellow variety and it is one gorgeous bird.

They have three silvers variants, and the one Yellow.

Another guy has the GP ARF, and it is very...

So what do we do if we have one of the old ones in a new box?

So what are we supposed to do?

Everyone seems to agree that the plastic is inferior, the wood on my Mig-3 leaves much to be desired, so what do I do?

Just fly it until it falls from the skies?...

Dear Richard, I hope you don't expect a straight answer

I couldn't get a straight answer from VQ, and I don't see you getting one either.

It is a shame because they truly have some unique ARFs but I have come the belief that VQ stands for Variable...

Why are you wondering?

Seems to me that if it a .60 size, you should have no problem with a .70 4 stroke except it maybe a bit under powered, I would go with either a Saito 91 or 100 or YS .91

But that is just my...

Who did you purchase it through?

If it was Towqer Hobby, I have found that their customer service is aces and will go out of their way to help you.

I have had them send me missing parts of ARFs with no questions asked.

thanx Seduction

Good info

The seventh servo would indicate retracts, looks like a honey, almost a perfect mate for the Hangar 9 Mustang.

I misread it, according to Quantum it is 63" Wingspan

Checked out the Quantum site, it is listed there for $259.

It has a 63" wingspan, and requires 7 servos, which would lead me to believe that it has flaps.

Still sounds nice, and I like World...
