RE: LST2 or XXL drivetrains

No upgrades for the lst2 or the xxl. With the aftershock you might have to buy the lst2 upgrade kit but that's about it. Any big block engine should drop in with no problems.

RE: Exhaust Pipe Mount

This is what I have:

The spring helps to dampen the pipe's movements and keeps it in place. Another problem...

RE: idle screw

I've broken one on my lrp spec 3. It may have to do with the fact that I'm using the z590 servo and maybe the servo arm was not nicely aligned to the carb.

RE: Ok, so I am really tempted to buy an Axial 28rr

Oh for the love of god don't buy an axial 28rr.....its the most underpowered, unreliable, useless piece of sh*t. Cannot stress this enough.
Bad carb, bad bearing, and even when u get those...

RE: Making me MAD!!!

Try turning the idle screw in some more. The idle screw is basically the thing that stops the throttle arm to close the carb when the brakes are applied. Even after turning a lot, the linkage closes...

RE: Making me MAD!!!

Turn the idle needle in a few hours and you should be fine. But you still have to fix the linkage after that though. Remove the air filter and make sure that at idle and brake, the carb opening is...

RE: clutch bell

I was in a bit of a hurry to remove the shoes but it doesn't matter. I sanded the melted overhanging part out as you can see with my other pic with the cleaned and sanded shoes. They should still...

RE: Making me MAD!!!

I'll say it again .....DON"T OIL ANY BEARINGS THAT GO IN THE CLUTCH BELL. In fact, wipe them clean and make sure they are dry before installing them because fresh bearings have a ton of grease and...

RE: Best Charger???

This is the one I've been using for a few years.

http://i235.photobucket.com/albums/ee196/ekashyap/DSC01350.jpg

Bought it for 40 CAD on ebay and it works great. Charge rate is variable from...

RE: clutch bell

Actually, good point. I don't have the little washers since I never thought they were of much use. A bit of the scuffing on the shoes was caused by me when trying to remove the shoes with a flat head...

RE: new stuff

That kind of torque can never be used in an lst. Its pointless....anything over 200oz per servo is pointless since the lst platform has 2 servos for steering.

RE: Making me MAD!!!

Make sure the following parts are seated as described below:

The little pin goes through the hole in the output shaft and when you slide B3301 on it....the grove sits on the pin and locks into...

RE: clutch bell

All the shims are there and perfectly aligned to allow for a nice spin of the clutch bell when mounted. The scratches are from the sand paper...nothing to worry about.
Do not add oil to bearings...

RE: From your experience who has the best Customer support?

I know its not on the list but I've gotten great service from JR ...owned by HorizonHobby. I sent in 3 JR650 servos which I destroyed accidentally and they sent me brand new ones within a week to...

RE: LST2 Servo Upgrade Options

The 5985's will run fine. You just have to get hitec servo savers.
Your pricing seems very high for some reason. The 5985's are about the same specs as the jr650 and I can get 650s for $49.99 CAD...

RE: Aftershock questions..

Almost everything you've done is in some way destructive to the engine and the truck as a whole.

Don't remove a head shim as that can cause piston damage and lower engine life GUARANTEED.

RE: So I bought an LRP Z.28 Spec3 for my LST2 !

18/25 is the stock size. Good for overall power.
19/26 is also known as +1 and adds a bit more top end while removing a bit on the bottom end.

Your choice basically. Do you want more top end...

RE: steering servos

I'm pretty sure its a wiring/loose connection problem in your battery pack if its custom built. Also check the wire from the battery to the receiver.
Also, did you install a roll cage recently...

RE: engine for my After Shock/ mega baja

Get the LRP Spec 3 Z.28r pull start. This engine is ridiculously easy to tune and holds a tune for an entire summer almost.
Its got tons of power, easily throws around my close to 14lb basher...

RE: Can someone recomend shock oil weight.

Yup, 40 or 45wt should do fine. I always get two bottles and end up using 1.75 of it for the 4 shocks.
