Depends on how fast you want to go. You should be able to pull off a vxl setup if you gear it low. The temps should be reasonable and torque should be fine (vlx motor = 3500Kv). But I would't expect...

It should connect right on... did you remove the female connectors from the male connectors on the motor wires. It comes with them so that you can solder them to a controller that doesn't have them...
