kinda, except that kershaw direct drive with the motor mounted forward will do away with the radio box, and it'll have just a servo mount on the side of the TVP to handle the steering....

when I re-convert mine this time I'll be using stock SavageXL chassis plates, and using the Kershaw Designs Direct Drive Center Transmission, as long as it still has a slipper setup....with the mamba...

that's exactly what I'm after.....my crawler's too light, and way too top heavy, I'm aiming for batteries that're that bigger and will help hold the axles down....besides, my 5400mah 2S stick pack...

yep, without any trouble, remember, ESC's can handle larger numbers, just not lower usually





this is the one I'm buying....it's plenty large as far as capacity, I've got a non-saddle...

lets have a picture of it.....I've not heard of a "MAO" and to be honest, I haven't the faintest clue what "HR axles" are either, but, if it's a smaller scale crawler, and you can get it over...

debating between those two, I'd pick the axial, simply because it's bigger scale car and it's going to be able to crawl larger obstacles.....

you can mod them all, the kit is better because you can buy all of your mods before you start building and you can build the mods in as you go instead of it being a prebuild. the downside to a kit...

personally I've looked into all of them, there's up sides to all like someone else said, I sprung for the AX-10 RTC and immediately swapped all of the electronics out of it and put my own in, and did...

thanks, I'll try to get a better pic up in the next few days of the crawler in its completed form....was waiting on some of the proline rock sliders to come in, they set off the shell quite nicely....

oh, here's it when I broke the steering linkage.....stupid rock.....(pre-rear steer, if I'd have had it, I'd have made it up even with the broken front linkage)

thanks! I appreciate the help.....now just to decide whether or not it'd be worth the extra work....the R2 2-speed+dig is gonna be a headache already, not sure if the rear steer would be worth it or...
