RE: Interesting newly posted AMA documents concerning the FAA regulations

Here's a document of interest to this subject.
http://www.modelaircraft.org/faa/recommendations.pdf

The one thing that stands out is AMA's participation. One thought is that AMA is in a bit...

DB Lysander built??

I've been prowling around here to see if anyone has completed a Dennis Bryant Lysander. I asked a question about a build in another thread but thought I'd start my question in a new thread. I'm...

RE: Westland Lysander Plans

MJ,
Have you finished the Lysander? I'm consider the same plan/laser cut parts for an electric version and would like to know how the build and flying went.
Thanks,
Dave

RE: Albatros D.III Build along

I've been reading through this thread with great interest as I've done two Albatros models, DII & DV. Both were prototype builds for AerodromeRC. My DII is a little guy at 1/10 scale and the DV is...

RE: Are you interested in trying pattern?

Thanks Dylan & Chuck, I've been poking around that site and have figured out the 2 point roll and the double Immelman without rolls (though it doesn't seem like an Immelman). I'm still not clear on...

RE: Are you interested in trying pattern?

I intend to use the Sportsman pattern sequence to sharpen my flying skills and instill some disipline in my flying. Maybe if I can gain some semblance of competency I'll try entering a contest.
I...

RE: Harbor Freight trailer frame

I've been considering a trailer to haul planes when I go to flying events. The HF 4x8 trailer is intriguing. My question is how well does a light weight trailer haul & how light is too light? I'm...

RE: 1st flight of the sukhoi su31 today

Glad to hear the plane flew so well. I'm considering doing an electric conversion on this model. Do you know how it weighs without your equipment in it?
Thanks,
Dave

RE: Phoenix Models Extra 300S 46 ARF W/ PICTURES

Does anyhone have the weight of the airframe with servos only? I'm planning on "electrocuting" it with a Hacker B50 geared at 6:1 using 14 GP3300's to swing a 14x10 prop.
Thanks,
Dave

RE: Building and Metal-Morphing a Gamma

This process is amazing. Can I assume that you're somehow "squirting" a liquidized coat of metal onto the surfaces, which then dries hard? How thick is the coating? How resistant is it to...

RE: AXI-fied Extra 300S E-Conversion!

Stephen,
What size prop are you using with your Jeti 30/3? I'm running a couple on 10x7 on 8 cells. I didn't think you could push the Jeti 30/3 with 12 cells.

RE: Is it time to go electric for scale planes?

Guys take a look at the discussion areas in Ezonemag.com. This whole thing is electric. Large stuff is being flown with electrics all the time. LiPo technology is still maturing. I personally...

RE: Albatros D.III Build along

Jim,
I think I'm going to try to stay with 1/16 sheeting. This DV fuse is a real pain compared to the theDII fuse. I'm going to try to use the same techique I used with the DII but if things go...

RE: Biplane Lazer-cut kits for Speed 400-600?

Try Aerodromerc.com. Kurt's planes fly very well. I've done two prototypes for him (Halberdtadt and Albatros DII) and they both fly great. The laser cutting is perfect and he even includes the...
