RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

If i can find a manual (house is a mess due to moving) I can scan it and send it your way. I'll hunt around a little tonight.

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

I'm still in Sacramento. It's just a ***** of a drive to the track, I usually end up lacking the motivation to go. Besides that we are in the middle of buying another home so I really can't throw...

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

Looking very nice there. I actually run the Tamiya aluminum rear parts and its set at -2 Toe in, works out great especially if you plan on having any sort of control over the car at higher speeds. ...

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

The metal dogbones and coupler joints are needed to get the most from your power band and eliminating the slop in the craptacular plastic parts they give you in the stock drivetrain. This is...

RE: Ball or gear diff for TT-01

If you want tight handling go with a ball diff in the rear and a one-way diff in the front. That setup is not very user friendly though as the steering is particularly precise, be forewarned (and...

RE: DIRECT DRIVE TAIL ROTOR

Yes, i was talking about your beast ;-)

RE: New to helis

Get a coax heli to start, unless you want to dedicate hours to a simulator. It will save you much time, money, and frustration. Once you get the basic movements down then move in to a CP heli. I...

RE: DIRECT DRIVE TAIL ROTOR

There are already kits out there to convert a Axe to belt drive. Search around the forums, a member here has a really tricked out Axe.

I think your caps lock key is on/stuck btw.

RE: Axe Batt. recall reply

I think its a bit ridiculous that they are asking for the batteries back waste no haste and yet they have nothing to send us in return. I understand that they want to limit their liability to any...

RE: Axe Batt. recall reply

I got my box on Friday, I sent 4 batteries out yesterday. Lets see how fast the turn around will be considering that it took nearly 3 weeks to get the box to return the batteries.

I still have...

RE: Axe Batt. recall reply

I haven't heard anything since submitting the online form a couple weeks ago.

I have flown it a few times, they can't expect me not to fly, this hobby is like an addiction...

RE: Blade 400. What is 400?

the T-Rex SE V2 is barely longer than the B400, in fact its pretty much the same length.

SE v2 = 660mm
Blade 400 = 650mm

10mm is not much of a difference, its why they can both fit in the...

RE: Blade 400 stripped servo

Be prepared to use your dremel if you want to fit HS65's in your B400. They will not fit without some modification to the frame & servo horns. The HS55's will fit with no modification but the servo...

RE: Blade 400. What is 400?

Its the size of the blades that gives the "400" meaning. :)

A T Rex is no bigger nor smaller than a B400, they are the same size/class heli.

Of course the size is a general...

RE: B400 or HIROBO SRB QUARK

The servos are fine for a beginner, buy some of the gear sets from Horizon they are cheap and easy to replace. Once you are confident flying it then I would get some HS65's for cyclic. You will...

RE: Blade 400 in Align Carrying box

Where did you get the wingtote from? link?

I like that idea if i can put my 450 and my 300 heli and radios in 1 bag. Then I wouldn't worry so much when they are in my trunk and I take a...

RE: Blade 400 in Align Carrying box

Where did you have to trim, and what did you use to do the trimming? I am debating buying one of these cases, I just want to see how much work is envolved in making it fit correctly :)

RE: b400 good for outside flight?

I've found the B400 to be stable in up to 5-6MPH winds, same as the 450. In general I have found that 5-7MPH wind is the max for a 400 size heli, 3-5MPH for a 300 sized heli. Of course this will...

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

Try a couple more batteries and see what happens, if it still behaves the same with multiple batteries that rules out the battery. Stick the stock silver can in it and see what it does, if it still...

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

If you have a failsafe on either the TX/RX or a failsafe device that is what is causing it. On the Futaba 3PM 2.4ghz system I have it has a built in fail safe, if you enable it the behavior is...

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

Those are my bash tires that I don't care about :) I think I put that I use Sorex on the track in the list of stuff on the car. Once the current set of bashers wear out I will swap over to the HPI...

RE: my $118.00 CP Pro crash

Unless its a expensive servo I've found it safer and had better piece of mind when I just replaced the whole servo. The B400 servo cost me about $12, it isn't too much to just replace the whole unit...

RE: Official Tamiya TT-01 Thread

It will be fully enclosed indoors so I doubt it will be asphalt. I would say its either going to be carpet or some sort of treated concrete surface. I'll ask next time I see one of the owners, I'll...
