New Era kits are heavy and I have not seen one run competetively in our region. You might look at a litespeed chassis if you are going to drop that kind of money. www.litespeedengineering.com

GMS - Grandmotorsports

RJ Speed - available at Tower Hobbies

There are some other kits out there but it depends if you are...

Thats about the going price. Not really sure I would consider it expensive. You can save a couple of dollarsat RCcarkings.net, you mightalso look into the RJ Speed dragster body @ Tower Hobbies.
