sounds relatively simple to me in theory. you want to you brushless motor to power ducted fans at the ends of the rotors, thus spinning the rotors and lifint the chopper. if you scratch build it out...

the small heli might have to be tehtered unless it developes and awful lot of lift even if you use some pretty good lipos. are you scratch building this heli or are you adapting it from a kit?

if your tx is a well known brand (ie. futaba jr airtronics hitec) interfaces are generally availible for about 20 dollars with an elementary sim on ebay.
