Yes if you turn your shocks upside down it does help prevent leaks. It works without any mods at all. I do not think it will change the way the shcok reacts to jumps and high speed runs. But...

I would go with the pro pulse for only $49 and then add your own brushless motor. I do not know much about that truck to really say one way or the other. But for the pro pulse it is a great truck.
