RE: Tiger with Asiatam recoil unit

I like the asiatam unit with its snap-back and slow return better than the tamiya slow recoil and slow return. I admit its not perfect but I think it looks good. I have such a unit in my HL PzIII.

RE: El-Mod & 3:1 Reduction in an HL Tiger

I've used 3-1 gearboxes in my VVSS Sherman and my PZIII. They both have Elmod systems and they run very well. Probably more a scale cross-country speed than a flat-out road speed.

RE: Speaker Recommendations

The last time I looked, Elmod had discontinued selling their 'boombox' speaker and just included a short list of recommended speakers instead.

Thanks Pete, Matt. Glad you liked them. The hidden TBU's were certainly tested to the limit with your marauding Jagdpanther Matt!

RE: UK tankers bovington meet .. final preps!

Hi Matt

Couldn't log in to the RC TankWarfare forum for some reason.

I intend taking my Tamiya Panther, Tiger1 'Easy Eight' Sherman and VVSS Sherman (if I can get them all in the car)....

RE: TEXAS ARMOR EPIC BATTLE SEPT 19th-21st 2008!

Oh man, I wish I lived in Texas (or even somewhere in the USA!). I wonder if our fledgling UK Tank Combat club will ever get even half as good as yours.

Green with envy!

RE: Any interest in a 1/16 Churchill tank ?

I've just been ploughing through my tank books and discovered that the Churchill tracks were 14 in wide. That gives a metric 1/16 scale width of about 21/22mm. I think Tiger 1 and Panther tracks...

RE: Any interest in a 1/16 Churchill tank ?

Count me in for a hull and suspension. Not sure about using Tiger or Panther tracks though. Wouldn't Panzer 3/4 tracks be closer to the correct width?
