RCEXL kill switch as ibec

i tried to "decrypt" the manual and the supplied super small pictures how to use the kill switch with only one battery..... no go....
then i put it in the scanner and zoomed it a few times,still...

smallest size but reliable glow to gas conversion?

i have seen a lot of videos on youtube with glow to gas conversions but they are all 0.61 ci and up.

is there a size limit so they are still reliable on gas? (reliable as in good idle...

something that i just remembered..... after a few days with the vent line closed,the tank collapses a bit,not too much though, is it possible for the tank to suck the gas out of the carb?

cdi onboard tacho on magneto ?

has anyone tried a onboard tacho on a magneto engine?

afaik both need a magnet and both have one.....
a y-lead to a battery, one to the tacho,one to a hall sensor...... but still i may...

it seems it can be used directly between the battery and the ignition,with less than 6 Volts.

opto switch from Hobbyking needs 6V and up,which makes this...

so i took off the carb and there is a vent hole after all and it is not the choke.

valid carb tuning technique

i'm new to gas engines and i'm reading/watching videos on how to tune the carb right.

the thing is i can't see the difference from slightly rich and slightly lean.......mostly on the low speed...

i have an engine that won't properly shut down when the butterfly is 100% closed,
i thought it would be lean somehow but then i read this walbro tuneup "read special notes- #1" (at the end of page)...

non ringed ABC liner on gas ??

i have a couple (smaller than usual....46fx) OS engines i'm thinking to convert to gas,
not so much to actually use them on my planes.... more than a project and for fun,but if everything works...

reed valve mounting screw RCGF 15

i was about to install the engine on the firewall, and i had to remove the carb at some point.

so far so good, then i noticed the reed valve was hold on the plastic "block" by a 2.5 X 5mm screw...

is it possible to get away with a single battery setup for ignition and receiver?

i read in another forum (quote) "if you are fly 2.4 ghz, they can be the same battery as long as you use 2...

yes you can do that. just make sure the inside dimeter is not smaller than the venturi and the pipe is not too long.

how long do you keep your mix until you replace it with fresh one?
do you use any stabilizer like stabil to keep it fresh longer?

i 've read that 2 stroke oil already has some stabilizer in...

i'm not comfortable to leave gas in the tank cause of the place i store my models.

could i use 2 stroke oil instead? the same one i mix in the fuel.

would that be equal to not dry out the...
