RE: New CGRCjets super scale A-10

Sorry Chris, didn't mean to pry. Just was confused when I saw the "they".

BTW, you are doing a fabulous job. Keep up the good work. The A10 is my favorite warbird.

RE: New CGRCjets super scale A-10

I guess I can fly over and back in my A10 everyday. We will have to build a big one and use a boatload of LIPOs though. LOL

Your are right, the sound systems are not loud enough. Besides...

RE: New CGRCjets super scale A-10

Chris

My A10 has been doing well. I must have over 150 flights on it by now. I replaced the 90mm Midi fans with the 12 blade CS90, and got some more thrust plus it sounds more like a turbine. I...

RE: A10 Warthog IMAA legal size from Wowplanes

Although the A10 is a jet and we associate jets with speed, the A10 looks best when flown slow and graceful like a ballerina in the sky.

Here is a video of the maiden flight. She took off with a short run, very docile and stable flyer, and easy to slow down and land.

Dan

I have been silently following your work here with LS2. I must say, you have mastered the technique very well in such a short time. The pod looks great.
If anyone has any questions about LS2,...

RE: 4th of July Special from Wowplanes

I did some picture taking and taxing about outside today.

She tracks well at about 1/8 to 1/4 throttle. The tail gets lightabove 1/4 throttle, which I guess is a good thing.</p>

I will be...

I added the canopy and a few decals. She is now ready for ground tests tomorrow and a maiden flight soon after.

The AUW came in at 16.5 lbs. With a wing area of 1632 sq in, that gives an area...

RE: 4th of July Special from Wowplanes

I installed the servos, battery and ESC today. Since I like to use the battery as weight to balance the model, I had to leave cutting the hatch until all the other hardware was in place. Now that I...

RE: 4th of July Special from Wowplanes

It was time to fit the main gearand tail wheel. I had imbedded plywood pieces in the wing to secure the mains, but had forgotton to install blind nuts, so I had to resort to threaded inserts. The...

RE: 4th of July Special from Wowplanes

I forgot to show how the wing is mounted to the fuselage. This should be done before the LSII and final painting stage. Here is build sequence for mounting the wing.
