RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I haven't had to repair the fuse, but suspect it would be quite difficult to get it right as it's very light and the construction is very minimalistic. Any extra reinforcement or epoxy would...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I have both the MPXT and the PRecision Aerobatics Extra 260. Here are my impressions: I've destroyed my MPXT fuse several times because of bad servos and very minor hard landings. I use nylon...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I have a DX7 TX and have done flaperons and spolerons on an Extra 260 but haven't had great success using them, although the Extra 260 doesn't really need flaps. I never tried it with the MP and...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I fly at a large field where the grass is VERY choppy and makes a very poor landing site, but there is an asphalt area where I can take off from and land. But it isn't very big and the MPXT requires...

RE: E-FLITE T-34 MENTOR 25E PTS RTF

Hi John,

I work at a small airport in Connecticut and she's been here several times. Her new dog is "Bernie". Here's a picture of Bernie ready to go.
Also, why can't we have an engine in the...

RE: E-flite T-34 Mentor 25 ePTS RTF

This plane flies great and is relatively easy to fly, but I have a hard time believing that it's suitable for a novice. A better choice IMO is a foamy that's easier to repair. Crashes are inevitable,...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I use the TowerPro 30A ESC from HobbyCity. It's a paltry $13.95 and works like a charm (I use this ESC in 3 or 4 planes). In the MPXT I also use an external Parkflyer BEC from Dimension Engineering...

RE: E-FLITE T-34 MENTOR 25E PTS RTF

I just received it today. Seems like an incredibly good buy. I plan on selling my D6Xi on eBay for about $100 (I plan on using the AR6200 and it doesn't come with any servos). That brings the cost...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

YOu can also get 4-40 nylon screws at Hobby-Lobby (http://www.hobby-lobby.com/metrichdwr.htm) - just search for HLRE678.

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I have two planes that I really love to fly: the Mini Pulse XT and the PA Extra 260. I've been flying the MPXT for a while now and wasn't sure I could handle the Extra 260 but after 4 flights now, I...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Funny you should mention this - it's something I'm very glad to hear. I have a PA Extra 260 that I just finished building last night. Unfortunately, I'm going away in a few days and won't be able to...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I use the Parkflyer BEC based on the warning that comes with the PNP version. See http://www.dimensionengineering.com/ParkBEC.htm. It's fairly inexpensive and very easy to hook up.

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Awesome flying field and it sounds like a great first flight!!

I'm still having some stability problems with mine, but I haven't checked the CG the way it was described here yet. I have to...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

It';s kind of strange, especially the first time you notice it, but the prop is supposed to be angled slightly down and to the left (when looking at it from the front). I work at a small airport and...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Hi Lon,

Thanks for the great explanation. I've only been flying since last September and haven't had a lot of time to do it here in Connecticut. The flying field here has very poor access and...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I'm not sure why, but I have a very difficult time determining if the MPXT is balanced. I've been balancing it righ-side up and no matter where I test it, it seems to lean forward AND back. Do you...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I think I had a servo go on my PNP. on the 3rd or 4th flight it fllew fine for a minute or do and then took a dive and hit the ground on the wheels. The only damage was to the wheels which basically...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Although I haven't tried it (yet), I understand that the proper way to dispose of a LIPO is to discharge it (that could be tricky!) and then soak it in SALT water for 2 weeks. That supposedly...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but we finally got a good weather day and I took the MPXT up for a spin - and it did just that. After about 30 seconds, it started in a death spiral....

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I use an e-flite 2100 mah 3-cell (3S) 11.0volt battery. As long as it physically fits in the battery compartment, it should be good. This was my 3rd plane - the first one an airelon trainer, the...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

I use a small screwdriver thru the hole in the collet to tighten it. Not sure why the 450 doesn't tighten with a 3mm collet, but it doesn't. In any event, I do have 2 flyable MPXTs right now - just...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Did the shaft break?? I've had 2 shafts break - both times it took very little to break them. Once it nosed in on landing (no throttle) when the plane was almost at a stop and the other time the...

RE: E-Flite Mini Pulse XT Owner's Club

Well, at least you didn't have any structural damage. Did the change in CG cause you to lose control over landing it?

I've often wondered how the spinner/collet stays on. No matter how tight I...
