RE: 1/3 scale Bleriot XI from Mick Reeves

RE: 1/3 scale Bleriot XI from Mick Reeves

It's rematkable how little change of incidence is needed. I know that the rigging instructions for the full size Pup called for the wing incidence to be within 1/8" tolerance at the trailing edge...

RE: 1/3 scale Bleriot XI from Mick Reeves

I do hope you mean warping wings :D

The movement induced by the warping cables is approx 15 degrees up & down. This provides adequate roll control but you have to wait for the result and...

I've noticed that's it almost two years since the last post regarding my Bleriot XI model. Well - she's still flying and here's links to a couple more flying sessions.

Hope you enjoy them!

RE: The Bleriot XI and other machines

The logo on my prop is from the vast collection of artwork which Dave has. Dave, a fellow club member, makes my props for me. This 28" x 7" is laminated from Brazilian mahogany & Ash.

The logo...

RE: 1/3 scale Bleriot XI from Mick Reeves

The wing warping works just fine. I have about 2" (50mm) up & down at the tips. I did alter the geometry however, from that shown by Mick on the drawings. I've attached a sketch showing...

Not that I'm bothered - the...
