parts for FID may be hard to get, largescale rc are the US dealer but...

37lbs with no motor (with around 42lb) so not much heavier than a losi, on the video at DDM it looks to handle as good as the losi too which seems to be the benchmark these days

I'd do a tube chassis using 4130 chromemoly tube, you can use a mix of 1/4, 5/16 and 3/8 with .049 wall thickness...stuff is light and super strong. definitely shaft drive.

99% of 5thscale rc's have open clutches and never have a problem with...

i'd strongly recommend using a proper gasket, they wont blow if you torque the head properly...gasket goo has it's place but it's not on our rc motors' base gaskets, a properly torqued paper gasket...

stock squish is around .024" (.6mm), ....017" is considered the minimum by zenoah ....stock blue paper gaskets are .020 and compress to probably .015...if you are using gasket seal without paper...
