RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

Heh, oddly enough she is typically interested in whatever I am. I got her into cars, and for a while we both drove Toyota MR2 Turbo 5speeds, but we are going to cut down to one. Now Ive got her into...

RE: OFFICIAL VENDETTA THREAD!!!!!!!!!

I have to say Im quite disappointed. I broke two axles within 20 minutes of driving my buggy, and then two minutes after I got the new CVDs in the rear differential broke. At least I only payed $99...

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

Exactly. The engine is supposed to be moved forward, but they both line up exactly the same on the starter box. But like I said I vaguely remember the auction saying something about having a turmoil...

RE: GO .21 motor

I agree it will be a bit much. Plus AFAIK most 1/10 scales use smallblock engines, which wont work with big block (.21+-sized) engines. The biggest Id do is a .18 (which should be smallblock).

RE: here's my 1/8 brushless onroad conversion

He said he was running two 4 cell packs in parallel. Each pack has that 14.8 volts on its own, and he wired two together to get more amperage. You are correct in your statement, I just think you...

RE: turning rc18mt to street car?

From what I can tell a set of decent mini-sized street tires (maybe even 1/10 tires would work tell, too) make them handle quite nicely. Unless you are planning on racing on purpose-built areas I...

RE: Is the Turmoil a decent car??????

HorizonHobby is usually really good about keeping parts around. They still stock most of the parts for the old GS Storm buggy. Plus, the Turmoil RTR is still around and should stay like that, so...

RE: what is the best for my money

Actually, they are both rebadged versions of the same thing. Duratrax didn't make the vendetta.

If I could find a HuanQi / MB4 in the states I would have recommended that. Since I bought mine I...

RE: what is the best for my money

That is probably the best option for something new.

RE: Looking for Quality Starter Box!

Strong boxes are good and all, but IMO if you are having that much trouble turning over a new engine there are simpler, much more reliable methods of getting it to turn over than simply muscling it...

RE: Exploding clutch bell bearings!

Id like to know too, since I have usually gone several gallons before replacing any. You guys have got me worried, though!

RE: For School #2

I didn't want to be the first to say it, but he's right. Most of this stuff has been beaten to death, and an hour of searching should give you plenty of info. If this is for a college class that...

RE: what is the best for my money

If you guys know where to get vendettas and RC18s for under $140 (including tax / shipping), let us all know.

WIth the MiniT for ~$110 yes you'd be limited, but you at least have that $30 to...

RE: For School #2

Here's a similarity:
Both still rely on batteries, though my 1/8 buggy can get away with a cheap $25 charger and a single $15-$20 pack since it will go for about 3 hours on a charge and then still...

RE: Bleaching chassis

Very unlikely. As I said the color is almost part of the material itself, and given that plastics are typically not pourous, the best you will likely get is a hazey surface layer.

RE: Bad thing?

Wierd. To my knowledge I don't know what it could hurt, although I suppose if its pushing exhaust out the intake that can't be too good, heh. But the engine itself shouldn't be harmed.

RE: OFFICIAL VENDETTA THREAD!!!!!!!!!

Runtimes seem to about 5-7 minutes with the stock 650mAh battery. If the ST comes with the 1100 (I don't remember if it does), then you should get arund 12 minutes. That is about how long I get with...

RE: Anyone use SubC cells on a Mini?

I didn't think it was low quality, just low in features. I just didn't want to spend $250 on a charger that can charge half as fast as they run out. But either way, I can now use the (also Tenergy)...

RE: what is the best for my money

For like $130? My LHS sells the RC18s for about $180. They are on sale for $154 at Aman and shipping would be about 8-10 from A-main (they have good shipping prices - shipping my 1/8 buggy was only...

RE: what is the best for my money

Can you even get an RC18 for that cheap? I know you can buy a new MiniT for about $110 with shipping, and the cheapest Ive seen a new RC18 RTR is about $165 with shipping.
