RE: All things TXT-1

Finally got an esc in my truck. Went with the EVX-2, it was pulled from an e-maxx, got it for around 70.00, brand new.

I was having a problem with the Titans when I first got them in and it...

RE: EVX-2 problem

I was hooking the manual on/off to the wrong line, hooked it to the rec. battery pack and it will now turn back on after I shut the esc off without unhooking channel 2 line.

EVX-2 problem

Just bought a new evx-2 that was pulled from a truck for my TXT-1, using futaba trans, and receiver. I'm having trouble turning the esc on/off. When everything is connected, it powers up fine, but...

RE: All things TXT-1

Well, I haven't been able to get the Titan 550's to work right. The txt basically comes to a dead stop after going back into neutral like the motors are seizing up. They do have a ton more torque...

RE: All things TXT-1

Yeah, I've been taking it apart about a dozen times now and checking the mesh for the right spacing. At first I had it too loose and it was making lots of noise, now it seems about right but it's...

RE: All things TXT-1

Ok, got the motors install but having some problems.

I've still got the stock speed controller in so it could probably use a better one and it might fix my problem. Only using one battery. The...

RE: All things TXT-1

Hey, not a bad idea, since I've got the titan 550's coming I might go with the traxxas evx2 it's about 115.00. I'll just have to get the traxxas plugs for batteries. Can't wait to get the motors...

RE: All things TXT-1

Ordered some Titan 550 21t motors, stock replacement for the e-maxx. I was looking at the 12t first but I guess those are for the stadium trucks and the xl-5, probably wouldn't have the torque...

RE: All things TXT-1

What'd you use for the black coat? Looks good. I'm about ready to take my rear steering out, can't keep the saver on the servo. I've tried locktite but it keeps coming apart and slipping on the...

RE: All things TXT-1

Ok, so all that stuff will come off then in place of the new esc? stock controller, servo, and resistor?

The only thing I don't like about the txt is the twisting it does when it's going...

RE: All things TXT-1

Oh, yeah, everything's stock using 3600 nimh battery. As far as the esc, replacing it would remove what items? Such as: the stock esc, throttle servo, there's also a stock resistor or something in...

RE: All things TXT-1

Ok, now that I've had my TXT-1 for awhile I'm thinking I need more speed out of it. It probably does 5 to 6 miles per hour, I had it out in the snow yesterday and It just doesn't look realistic...

RE: All things TXT-1

Going to get some of those savers ordered, maybe they'll work better. I think that's why there's a lack in power at the rear, it's stripped out two already and I've got it screwed down tight. For...

RE: All things TXT-1

I've got it screwed down tight, the cap, that is and that whole assembly keeps coming apart, but I've since glued it, now it's staying put but it's coming off the metal spline on the servo. I think...

RE: All things TXT-1

Ran another test and it did actually slip off the splines. What would keep new ones from slipping?

RE: All things TXT-1

I'm using the one on step 27 of the guide. I think they came with the kit and not the servo. The metal coils and gray saver kept slipping back and forth from the post. I think the white piece...

RE: All things TXT-1

Ok, the throttle thing seemed to work itself out, not sure what the problem was.

Using Hobbico cs-70mg super torque 2bb servos front and rear. Did some adjusting on the servos and found one...

RE: All things TXT-1

ok figured out the problem. I had a battery reversed in the 4 pack. Why do they call it channel 67 and the freq. is 75? I thought the channel was your freq.

Anyway, had another problem. I...

RE: All things TXT-1

Went ahead and got it. I'm done except I can't get the receiver to work. I've got the 4 pack battery going to the switch and then to the rec. Ch 1 to steering ch2 to throttle. Nothing happens...

If so, how many hours for full assembly? The instruction manual on their website looks like you have to put everything together?

RE: "OFFICIAL" Redcat Avalanche thread

My poor Avalanche won't start any more. It used to start up great after just a few clicks on the gun. I've put the needles back to break in and still can't get any results. It sounds like it's not...

RE: **NEW BEST BASHING VIDEO CONTEST**

Yeah, broke in with 5 tanks, used directions on website instead of manual. Basically it's at 2 1/2 turns out from close on each needle. Idle and low might be more like 2 1/4. So idle a little fast...

RE: **NEW BEST BASHING VIDEO CONTEST**

Here's a vid I did when I got home from work today, mainly to check tuning. Too rich maybe? I'm only giving about 1/4 throttle. It's about 35 degrees out. At this point I've ran about 10 tanks of...
