I may have to consider a plans build. That would give me an excuse to buy that band saw I've been wanting. Any other easy builds that are high wing? My first build so go easy on me! Maybe a Cub or...

Stiks.

Good day all. Is anyone still kitting a .40 to .90 sized Stik? I know AMR has several from 84" on up. Their smallest is still larger than I'm looking for. Looking for a fun winter project. Thanks.

Eneloop batteries are NiMH, so you need a charger for that type. I don't think a NiCad charger would work. My JR radio came with NiMH so I can use the charger it came with.

Eneloop batteries for transmitter?

I need to replace the original battery pack in my JR 9303. I've been considering the eneloop NiMH batteries. For those using them, what are your thoughts? Have they been reliable? Where have you...

If the Hanger 9 60 sized Pulse XT is still available, they don't get much better than that for a second plane. Great Planes Escapade 60 and 60 size Stick. Four Star in either ARF or kit are good...

Charger recommendations.

I'm looking for a multi chemistry charger. I need it to be ac/dc, tell me how many mA it has put into the battery, and charge at least 2 at a time. I don't plan on using batteries more than 4 to 5s....

Inverted flight problem.

I have a DLE 30 in a Slick 540. The engine seems to run great upright or inverted. As soon as I push up from inverted flight, the engine stalls and it sounds like it was starved of fuel. The clunk...

Favorite coaxial hobby grade ultra-micro.

Good day. I've been flying fixed wing for five years now and want a small coaxial heli for inside the house. Do you folks have a preferred micro heli? I'm looking at hobby grade and not Radio Shack...

RE: Could a gyro help elderly student?

We are using the 125 size Pulse from H9. I know, not a trainer. To be honest, he does much better with the big Pulse than his 40 size trainer. Much easier to see and it's more stable in the air. He...

RE: Could a gyro help elderly student?

I would like to try more tension on the transmitter sticks. His radio doesn't allow easy adjustments for that. (futaba 6ex) My student is 84 and a former Air Force pilot. He has flown the B-29...

RE: Could a gyro help elderly student?

He doesn't need a gyro to fly, he has done a few take-offs and landings without my intervention. I'm just looking for some help in stability/consistency. I know of a few folks that have them on jets...

Could a gyro help elderly student?

I've been working with a wonderful elderly student with earning his wings. His trouble is a lack of feeling in his fingers. We got him set up with a buddy box with expo and this helped a bunch with...

RE: Nitro biplane

Ditto on the Super Skybolt. I've been flying one for a year or so. Great flying bipe. I am powering mine with an OS 75 ax.

RE: Retiring Pulse 60. what next?

If you're thinking about trying a bipe, the GP Super Skybolt is great fun with a 75AX. I've been flying that combo most of this season. Good thread with lots of info here in RCU.

RE: Need a plane for my ASP 75 2 stroke

I am really enjoying my Great Planes Super Skybolt with OS 75 AX. It took a few flights to get the hang of a bipe, though. It takes up some runway to land if there is little to no breeze. Comes in a...

RE: Experienced flyer poll

I donated my RTF Alpha 60 and transmitter to my club. I do still get to fly it. Of course now it is buddy boxed with new students until they get their own plane and equipment.

RCXL ignition voltage.

I have a DLE 30 with RCXL ignition. I am using a 4.8 volt 1400mah NiMH pack on it. My question is: at what voltage would you quit flying? I fly for 10 to 12 minutes per flight. When I see 4.8 to 5...

RE: Recommended airplane for my DLE 30

I have my DLE 30 in a Pilot RC Sbach 342. Excellent flying plane. Went together quite easily. More than enough power. I did tone down the throws because I tend to fly more IMAC than 3d stuff. You...

RE: Pilot rc 30cc Sbach.

Maidened mine yesterday. The cg set at center of wingtube. Although it was quite breezy, I am quite impressed so far. It tracks better than the Edge 540 I have been flying (same size). On an inverted...

RE: Pilot rc 30cc Sbach.

I'm sure that's what I'll end up doing. I can't get my batteries any farther forwards. I'm glad it flies well. I should be doing the maiden on Sunday or Monday. Thank you for the info on the cg.

I believe I'm going to start with the cg at the center of the wing tube. I have the ignition module and battery on the motor box. The receiver battery is mounted under the top of the motor box. I am...
