RE: DX-8 Availabilty

I hope that they put the gyro rate/head hold on channel 5 rather than Aux2 like JR forces you to use, or allow you to assign it to the gear channel otherwise it's a deal breaker. There are thousands...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

that's the one and it tells the ESC that your throttle is really at zero. Not 1 or 2 or 3 clicks raised above the stop. Also if your going to crash if you lower the trottle the ESC say's ok he really...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

another thing to do is after you have it all set up and working correctly, make sure to set the throttle trim, small slider on the front of the tx to the bottom, then rebind the receiver to the tx.

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

it's on "the function list" and allows you to select a switch to control it, mine is set to use Aux2 on the heli tx. the plank tx I'm not sure as the 2 DX7's that I have are both the heli tx's and...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

actually the first thing I do when setting up the TX is set up the throttle hold, that way it won't start anyhow but I still do all the cyclic and gyro and tail servo setup with a RX battery.

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

there ya go! that's the best way, no chance of the motor starting by bumping the stick.

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

this is a terribly demanding game your entering into. Heli's the great time and money sinks, I'll clarify that, R/C anything the great time and money sinks. Don't get me wrong it's a lot of fun and...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

I always use a small receiver ni-cad pack when setting up my birds then hook up the ESC and do the programming on it if I have to. That way there's no chance of the motor starting up till I'm ready....

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

Ok I must be getting dysleslic as it's the 2100 gyro 3100 servo and the E-Sky servo is an EK2-0508. I'd personally go with, from personal experience, the Telebee. For what HC charges for it, I think...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

for that money I'd go with the Telebee and a DS285 or possibly a MKS S311MG both will have you locked in and learning to fly rather than trying to get the tail locked in and keep it there. I have 7...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

it's easy to check the BEC voltage just put a volt meter on the black and red wires on the lead to the receiver and plug in the battery. Most ESC BEC's are 5.6 - 5.8 volts to high for the MKS servo....

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

I have on one heli a Telebee gyro and can highly recommend it and HC has them and for a tail servo If you can afford it I'd go with the MKS DS480 I have it on one of my 450's and that with a...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

JRPSG241 is the part number on the gear set. If that's any help
It's best not to mix and match the cyclic servos as you will find the swash moves all out of sync due to different speeds. Very tough...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

the HD's came from HobbyCity in China for about $16 USD and shipping but the little gems are tough as h*ll, 17 crashes on the flybarless setup alone, and not a broken servo. If there's one thing I...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

if they are Artech servos you LHS won't have stock. Closest is SNHobbies and only for complete. Mine have been converted to HD1810MG servos, crashed a lot on a t-rex clone when trying to get it going...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

welcome to the Shark thread. most of the problems that occured with the early Shark2 were transmitter related. I have flown only one 2 version and it had the latest TX and it flew quite well. I can't...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

the HS1003 feathering shaft is the one that "should" fit. As I've never had a Shark2 I can't say for absoutly sure. But that said that is the one I use in my origional Shark. It isn't a "plug and...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

go into the swash mix and change the pitch to the opposite that you have it now. EG: if it's +60 set it to -60 or vise versa that will make the swash rise with the throttle. For heavens sake go and...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

PowerHD-1819MG I say this with confidence as I was setting up a flybarless setup on a Flasher PE and was not having a lot of luck but had 17 crashes and I'm still on the first ones I put in it. All...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

it's the 60$ one and the only difference is the blade grips. The PE uses plastic blade grips but with the V 2 4 mm feathering shaft which are not compatiable with the rex SA but with the V2 rex metal...

RE: Art-Tech Shark 450

on the Shark they are a flanged bearing and on the T-Rex they are a normal bearing. That is where the difference regarding the tail shaft (spindle) comes into play. The flanges keep the bearing from...
