Can I use a 6-channel Receiver w/ a 2-channel Radio?

With the 2.4 GHz radios, if both are DSM, is it possible to bind a 6-channel receiver to a 2-channel radio? Will the throttle / steering still work and the other 4 channels just be dead?

Well, here's an update after more testing...

The Orion pack had one cell that dropped down to .65V when under load. All the rest were over 1.0V.

The Boost pack had 4 cells that dropped...
