I haven't tried the 3gx, but I do have the 3g on my 550e. Lots of people banged on the 3g when it came out & yes the early units did have issues. Mine does suffer from the rare tail kick syndrom...

If you buy the radio new I'd use the stock rx if you get one used find a AR6200 for example. If your using a BeastX or 3GX flybarless system you can use just the sats. I flew mine for years on the...
