Elway, you talked about a highly modified T-Maxx and that's the thing about the T, you need a lot of parts and money to upgrade it to XTM .24 power.

I've seen such conversion and quite frankly...

33.2 mph with a 15 teeth clutch means 39.8 mph with the 18 teeth clutch

(calculation: 15/49 on 18/49 = 1.2 means 20% more speed with the 18 teeth,
thus 33.2 x 1.2 = 39.8 mph)

Yes, would only need to elongate a bit the holes in the purple plate under motor mount in order to compensate for the slightly longer clutch setup.

It's a less than 5 minutes dremel job...

I have both the HPI and the Hot Bodies.

The HPI was purposely designed for the Savage and have:
- A different black plastic case in order to have the connection for the rotostart shaft sitting...

No, HPI doesn't get ALL their engine from nova.

Only .12 size engine for sedan car and .21 for the on-road Proceed are rebadged Nova.

The .15 size are all derivated from the 15FE, like the 15SS...

Chance are high it is the center front dogbone / cups

Usually, it's the screw that hold the front cup, where it's attached to the front diff... but you may as well check the cup on the gear gear...

Instead of buying anything like hop-ups and stuff, I would buy 5 gallon of fuel, go on the race track and pratice as much as I can.

Instead of concentrating on your truck, get more driving skills....

Savage fuel tank idea

Still will not be as good as a real tank with back pickup:

1- You need baffle around your new pick-up
2- Tank bottom is still angled toward the front

It will work and help but will not totally...
