RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

I think the Turmoil is a great buggy, especially the PRO version. There are only slight differences between all the different models. I believe with regards to racing that the buggy is 25% of the...

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

No, we can't let this thread die. There are still plenty of loyal Turmoil fans out there both RTR and PRO versions. Sportwerks sold thousands of these ktis over the years. Myself, I stocked up on...

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

If it was new, you probably could get what your looking for it. I would buy it in a minute. However, considering that the Turmoil has been discontinued and the fear of obtaining parts will soon...

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

I agree with TCLBR. Your brass washer was probably not seated properly, or may even be bad (cracked/fractured). In any event, please the brass washer to eliminate the possibility. Secondly, cross...

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

They are great buggies for their price. I think it was stupid for Horizon Hobby to discontinue the car, however I heard a rumor that they are coming out with a "new" model. Usually, a newer model...

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

So how long do you suggest to boil the parts for? Do you let them cool down in the water or you take them out? Anyone else with experience on this, please feel free to chime in. I would hate to...

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

Hey Guys,

I hear alot of talk about boiling parts, does that actually make them stronger? What parts do you boil, for how long? I live in South Florida, the average temp here is 80. Any...

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

So once it's time to put the Turmoil to sleep for ever, what are you guys thinking of replacing it with? RC8, 8ight, or something else? Just curious as to where I should focus my attention on to...

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

Sure, great idea. However with my luck, I'll break or loose a part that I did not have as a spare or end up with a bunch of extra parts for an extinct buggy that I am afraid to ride out of fear of...

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

Yeah, Horizon's lack of marketing is now become our problem to deal with. Does anyone think that they will be coming out with a "new & improved" 1/8 buggy to take it's place? If so, I'll bet the...

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

Like I said, we have a year to play, then the Turmoil's will slowly die off due to lack of parts. That's crazy, I can't belive it. Horizon should support the product for at least a few years after...

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

This whole thing really upsets me. After a year or so, there will not be any new parts for sale. Then what happens, you really can't rely on eBay. The buggy will not be worth anything if can't get...

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

Very interesting take on the situation. I am eager to find out what happens. I think the Turmoil and PRO versions are great cars for the money, the most bang for your buck. I find their quality...

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

I hope, but why do you think it has been discontinued? Do you think they are coming out with a "newer" version with a different name?

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

I hear you loud and clear. I agree with your philosophy. I will definately loctite everything. Is the carb sealing necessary though?

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

You expressed yourself just fine, and thank you for taking the time to respond. It sounds like a good idea, is the V.21 engine prone to air leaks? Are there any other benefits to sealing the...

RE: *Official Sportwerks Turmoil Thread*

I just bought the PRO from AMAIN as well. $ 299 is a ridiculous price. I don't understand it, but I am not questioning it either. Anyway, being in the same situation as previous poster, how do you...

RE: Turmoil Starting Difficulty -Fly Wheel?

Sounds like a different problem then mine. I am not an expert, but it sounds like either your high speed needle needs adjustment, or your throttle is stuck open. IMO.

Turmoil Starting Difficulty -Fly Wheel?

Hi guys,

After my baby (Turmoil RTR -all stock) has been resting for a few days, I try to start it and have great difficulty. It seams that the starter just spins and "skips" turning the engine...
