RE: 8ight Truggy

No problem, it is a great article and I knew it would really help anybody looking to use that box. Just wish I could have found it quicker.

The 7 port is still kicking butt. I was TQ last...

RE: LOSI 8-T THROTTLE SERVOS

Here is our next throttle servo, that is still sitting in my box because we have not had any failures yet. Not as fast as that Cirus though at .13 second, but much higher torque.

Hacker 20-20L Prop?

What prop are you guys running on the Hacker 20-20L and the Extra Stiffy? The manual says an 11x4.7, but serveral guys have told me that is too much for that motor. Is a 10x4.7 a better choice?

RE: LOSI 8-T THROTTLE SERVOS

Make sure you leave the .7-1mm gap at both full throttle and at idle. You want to be able to pull that much additional distance mechanically after reaching your full throttle EPA adjustment to...

RE: 8ight Truggy

OK, it is kind of taboo to quote your own quote isn't it? I am the biggest idiot of all time. I have been trying like hell to find the link to this article and today I went looking in my favorites...

RE: Go Technology .21 5 Port Race Engine (Standard Plug)

Early Go's did have problems with the carbs. I have won the Amain two race weeks in a row and typically smoke the RB's down the front straight away at our track with the 7port .21. Say what you...

RE: 8ight Truggy

Not really sure. Ofna makes really good stuff and you will be happy with the twin 770 box as it works well. I am sure the other box is good too. I power my 10244 with a single 12v gel cell.

RE: 8ight Truggy

No com fluid is short for commutator fluid. Most of the time people call them Com Drops. Trinity and others make them, and they are electrically conductive drops that increase the conductivity of...

RE: Losi 8ight T Throttle Servo Uograde

Personally I don't run the stiffener on either one of our 8T's as I am not convinced it does anything to prevent blown servos and may actually hurt as it will most definitely transfer the loads more...

RE: Losi 8ight T Throttle Servo Uograde

.08 seconds at 6V is balistically fast and pretty much top of the heap. Let the other guys talk to the torque though as I have not run the cars enough to know if that is enough for long term...

RE: 8ight Truggy

I can't find that damn link!!! Anyway PM me if you get the box and can't figure it out from my description above. The rear guide simply needs to slide out further than the normal slot allows to fit...

RE: Losi 8ight T Throttle Servo Uograde

I hear you, but still think there is no way you need a $100 servo on the throttle if you set it up correctly. You can get a plenty fast analog servo for $40 that will do the trick. Most people...

RE: 8ight Truggy

I am still looking for the link to that great article I used to modify mine. I think it was off some UK site. I will try again to find. Basically you just grind off the guide nub on the bottom of...

RE: Losi 8ight T Throttle Servo Uograde

1015 works great for steering, but waste of money for throttle, so yes use the stock on the thottle.

RE: Losi 8ight T Throttle Servo Uograde

Why do you want to go high dollar on the throttle, are you having any problems or need better throttle response? I just won the Amain at our track two race weeks in a row using the JR650 from my...

RE: 8ight Truggy

That is the exact box I have Rhino and it has no problems at all on my .21 Go Tech 7port on the 8T. The mod is really easy and only takes a few minutes. You just need to move the motor mounts to...

RE: Go Technology .21 5 Port Race Engine (Standard Plug)

I love the 7 port, which is faster than most .28's on the straights. I am thinking of getting the 5 port in a few months as our track is smaller and I want to see if the extra punch will yield...

RE: 8ight Truggy

I bought the Ofna 10244. It works great, but you just need to make a simple modification so that the 8T fits on the box properly. There are posts on the internet and it only took a few minutes to...

RE: I just got the last one!

I am new to Nitro, but read elsewhere to use 20% sport mix to break in motors as it has more oil for lubrication.
