We never tested an APC 7X6.
I would guesstimate amp draw would drop to a more or less "reasonable" 155A, somewhere in that range.

And I wouldn't want to stand near it when you open that thing...

It wasn't a 7x6 prop.
It was a 6.6x7.6 carbon prop.

With an APC 7X8 prop we were pulling 192A static on a fresh pre-heated battery.

With the carbon racing prop, which is a 7,6 inch pitch prop...

The ribs are in place.

But I got sidetracked with gasser helis and turbine jets.
Nowadays I'm sidetracked with getting my pilot's licence.

Too many toys...not enough time

They can, and they will leak.

I've had it happen: there was a...

Seams

Make sure you "deseam" the front and back of the wing where it meets the fuselage.
On my UF and Joker that made a difference when it comes to the fit of the wing in the fuselage.

I have a VT80BL too...runs great!
Start it up, when it's at idle, blip the throttle and watch the screen : look at how long it takes to go back down from let's say 60.000 rpm to a 42.000 rpm idle.

I'm not saying it can't be done.
A turbine is just different, certainly while landing.
The flying itself is mostly the same, just more power compared to an edf, so you do most of your flying...

I think it is rather bold to start out with a scale jet.

You simply cannot compare an edf to a turbine.

Maybe if you program an exponential throttle curve, and delays on the throttle channel,...
