RE: SPORTWERKS chaos 1/16 buggy

Good job RJ...that sounds like my story 2 or 3 years ago. I've had the Trinity metal pinions for some time now, and use my patented "fill-hole hole" with Associated 5000 wt Silicone oil (very thick);...

RE: SPORTWERKS chaos 1/16 buggy

I agree. There's a lot of flex in the plastic towers, but so far no breakage.

RE: SPORTWERKS chaos 1/16 buggy

My friend's got a new Chaos with practally all the alum hop-ups except towers or a Picco (We all know that those are just waaaay too much for the diffs). All this was bought a couple years ago but...

It's 3:51 PM in SoCal...Do you know where your Chaos is???
Mines in the trunk of my Sentra, and I think I'll do a couple tach runs after work now. Too hip, gotta go!

RE: SPORTWERKS chaos 1/16 buggy

I went viclexic with my Spektrum recently and kind of screwed-up my steering settings...I don't know why, but the "Throttle Dead Band" (sounds kinda like a local OC punk band) has something to do...

RE: SPORTWERKS chaos 1/16 buggy

Thanx for thinking outside the box for me...I think that I go the direct route and dump the servo saver.

RE: SPORTWERKS chaos 1/16 buggy

It's supposed to be scary, but it sounds like you're up tp the challange. My challange is getting my Chaos to steer straight. I'm using the Hitec with Associated servo saver, but it's a sloppy fit...

RE: SPORTWERKS chaos 1/16 buggy

He Lugg,
That's good of you to let the little one run free...
Good luck in college. I've got two boys in college here in SoCal, and my daughter's a senior, so I applaud you kids for your efforts....

RE: SPORTWERKS chaos 1/16 buggy

Nice job. It was probably a small bubble in the line...
The little snausage looks cool w/ the reversed suspension and nose cut-off.
Run it on packed dirt, but not on grass unless it's really...

RE: SPORTWERKS chaos 1/16 buggy

You might need to prime it a little at the second start. I usually take off the tube at the exhaust pipe and gently blow thru it until I see a little fuel in the line right at the carb; Then it...

RE: SPORTWERKS chaos 1/16 buggy

Hey Oracus...
Idle problem might be that the tiny idle adjustment screw is starting to strip-out. Mine did on my first Toki. This made it hard to hold a decent idle; engine was kinda wornout...

RE: SPORTWERKS chaos 1/16 buggy

Good Find...those are the same as the Trinitys that have worked so well on mine. I think that they are 14 teeth vs. 12 stock, and they mesh way better than the crappy plastic ones.
Has anyone...

RE: SPORTWERKS chaos 1/16 buggy

Yeah, I've pretty much given up running mine off road. As it stands I don't really have any gremlins when I keep it on the blacktop or concrete (it drifts pretty good on smooth basketball courts).

RE: SPORTWERKS chaos 1/16 buggy

Sorry Lug, but at that point it ceases to be a Chaos, so I'm afraid we wont be allowing you on this thread anymore... I kid! But seriously, the NB assemblies sound quite promising. I'm pretty sure...

RE: SPORTWERKS chaos 1/16 buggy

Mine runs best between 175 and 205 degrees. Just point the temp gun at the base of the glow plug after you get a couple high speed runs done. Don't be tempted to lean it out too much...it's not a...

I knew I could depend on you for a quick reply.
BTW you old motor is still holding up well; starts easily and winds out nicely on 30% BT.
