RE: Traxxas Diff Spool - Any Good?

I have Lunsford titanium axle shafts in my T-maxx. I would expect they make 'em for a Revo too. I used to have steel but they kept snapping in the winter. You should probably stay away from from...

RE: Lower hinge pins for aluminum bulkheads

If you bend one of those "soft steel" stock hinge pins inside an aluminum bulkhead, you'll have a real nightmare trying to remove it. Titanium is the answer.

RE: Traxxas Diff Spool - Any Good?

You don't need to upgrade anything. It'll be tough to turn around on pavement, but you'll be fine in the dirt. You gain a lot of traction, but lose a little control (extra fun). If you do wheelies...

RE: Dynamite conversion ?

Front cvds don't have much stress on them (compared to the rear). You'd be fine with a stock (telescoping) axle. It will reach and probably last years. I have a picco .21 in my maxx with stock front...

RE: Do you guys know how hard it is to

Poke a few (4 or 5) holes in the center of the tread all the way around each tire with an awl. Then drive fast. The water will fly out and look cool too.

RE: What breaks??? On the T-Maxx???

Alot of guys will tell you a-arms and bulkheads. If you use RPM a-arms, you'll be good for YEARS. I also recommend titanium hinge pins. I used to break bulkheads alot until I got RPM skid/wear plates...

RE: REVO PICS(POST YOUR REVO PICS HERE)

6061 3/8 inch solid rod aluminum. Igot those trucks when they first came out and there were no cages available. I don't trust the body mounts to handle all the punishment alone, so I welded nerf bars...

RE: REVO PICS(POST YOUR REVO PICS HERE)

Yea, I know. I had just finished building it from scratch. 95% ebay parts $250. I had the engine and made the cage. It'll never be that clean again.

RE: well..i did it guys i broke the TMAXX..got pics

Just replace with stock parts and add RPM skid/wear plates. They tie evrything together and make it very strong but flex enough to forgive crashes and cartwheels. I haven't broken a bulkhead since I...

RE: Anyone know what to do about a stripped screw?

If you can put any force at all on the screw with your allen wrench, then heat the screw with a pencil torch first. You should be able to remove the screw while it's still hot. If you don't have a...

RE: Ez-start, pull start or rotor start for Picco.26?

Cheezy start just sucks. Pull start is great 'til your engine has a fussy day (e.g. bad fuel, bad glow plug ) and will cause you to hurl your truck into a tree. Roto Start is great. It even has the...

RE: Drive shafts

The center rear shaft is always the first to go. Get a set of steel center shafts ( I use Lunsford titanium, big $, but any brand steel is good. MIP or Dynamite are popular. ). Don't put the front...

RE: T-MAXX 3.3 UPGRADE

Is the linkage actually hitting the air filter? If so, then something wasn't right when you drilled. My post is about 1/16" from the tranny. Redrilling is going to be tricky. Maybe a Motorsaver air...

RE: whats everyones opinion on having 2 diff. sets of tires on at the same time?

I believe the zombies are considerably taller than the mashers. If you put zombies in the back they will try to make the truck go faster than the front tires are going (result: stress in the tranny,...

RE: anyone wanna suggest?

Picco .26 is a great choice for your maxx. The longer chassis will help keep the front wheels on the ground (some).

RE: Axles Specifications?!

Sometimes Beer's Aussie lingo can be tough to understand (but colorful). Anyway, if you prefer SAE to metric, the measurment you asked for is 0.235 inches.

RE: Picco 26 Max....the DARK SIDE....

I have run over 3 gallons thru my .26 (still has super pinch) with stock drive train and the only part that can't handle it is a gear in the tranny(#5396) that meshes with a metal gear. Pretty easy...

RE: Picco 26 Max....the DARK SIDE....

I had the same problem. Even at 25 mph, if I nailed the gas it would flip over backwards. When I swapped the 2.5 chassis for the longer 3.3 chassis it became much more controllable. If you're already...

RE: new t-maxx 3.3 or savage 4.6?

I have 2 Revos and a Tmaxx. Revo is by far the better truck. Way stronger and much easier to work on. Sorry I can't tell you much about the Savage

RE: custom chassis

If you bend a hinge pin inside an aluminum bulk head it's a nightmare. I use the stock bulks and RPM skid plates. Don't ask me why, but I haven't broken a bulk head in about 5 years (since I put the...

RE: Wider Revo?

RE: More battery life for Revo?

I get 3 or 4 tanks from a charge at most. I drive like an idiot. Full throttle- Full brake. My steering servos have to swing 40 series tires back and forth. That may have something to do with it.

More battery life for Revo?

I'm sick of swapping out 3 or 4 batteries just to burn a qt. of fuel in my Revo. Does anybody know where I get a battery pack that fits in a Revo and is substantially more than 1100mah?
