VsTank is working on this, too. I modelled a 2.4G controller with a USB port to link a pair of controllers for gunner/driver action.

Toyeast, and frequently Tower Hobby, carry both.

KVs are all 2009...they're new!


AND...the Sparkling series is gone! Airsoft, IR and collectors tanks are it for now.

Sounds like you need to fix or replace your gearbox. As mentioned, Toyeast sells the complete item for most tanks.

Could just as easily be the controller. I'd take it apart and make sure the button contacts are all clean and properly placed.

Toyeast shipping is pretty stardard for express from Asia...Tower Hobby will have them for terrestrial shipping charges soon enough. I only order from Toyeast when I'm getting a bunch of stuff...then...

1/24th HL tanks are flat out junk - HL is getting routed by VS, and are actually getting out of the market. If you want a 1/24th scale tank, there's your answer. 1/16 is obviosly a different game.

T72 tracks will be available in metal in 2009. No more new plastic tracks sets are expected - its all metal from here on out.

Real quick:

Tigers and T72s use a Tamiya esque gearbox - one motor controls forward and back motion, another applies torque across a differential to change left and right relative shaft speeds...

Yeah - those caps smooth throttle response. They do the same thing on the electronic end - they keep the boards from getting slammed with back EMF current, which boosts component life.

Yeah, to work with a 6mm projectile, some scale has to be tweaked. Vs is using 6mm BBs in guns equipped with 75, 105, 120 and 135mm guns - and all need to have the same bore.

September was the word...clearly not any longer.

The KV2 and M4 are the priority at Vs. Missing these two for the holiday season would be a huge blow...look for the IR target once they're on...

A 9.6v battery likely makes it an old HL. Detail paint in places is the same found (or not found) on the HL. Thats a fairly old VS, too, judging by the lack of weathering. 05 maybe? I've got an 05...
