ummm...my motor seems to 'know' what to do when I tell it to do something...I mean, he follows simple commands like 'Forward, Ubu!' or 'Backward, Ubu!....and when I want him to idle: 'Sit, Ubu'! ...

have you checked the set screw on the pinion gear to make sure that the motor shaft isnt just spinning without moving the pinion? Has happened to me a couple times. If it isn't this, then it is...

i had no problems fitting mine in. The motor is standard 540 size and bolts right on. The ESC fits right in the chassis tub (I used velcro to hold it down).

Well yes. HPI took the same chassis/drivetrain and just put a brushless system in it. Viola, Flux was born!

Absolutely. They are the exact same truck. The only difference is the standard has a cheap ESC and 15T motor while the Flux has a (re-badged?) Sidewinder with a 5700kv motor. Other minor...

Standard Firestorm with 15T motor is 180 bucks. Firestorm with Flux system is 300 bucks.

as i sit here doing the math...you are spending 200 bucks on a brushless system and who knows how much by stocking on spurs and diff gears. For 100 bucks more, you could have yourself a NIB...

nah your pinions wont need to be replaced, just the 2 plastic gears...the spur and the differential. Might be a good idea to keep extra slipper clutch parts on hand too as the motors tend to melt...

my advice...dont put brushless on the Evader. You WILL be replacing spur and differential gears on a regular basis with a brushless system.

Eliminating that play is a great idea...but impacts don't worry me so much as I have an HS-645MG servo in mine. ;)
