distance of prop & rudder from transom

Guys, I need your help. How far should the propeller be from the transom? How about the rudder? I am building a 48" mono. RC boat parts are hard to find here in my area that's why I'll have to...

Guys, I am building the 48 inch woody and I will be using a stock homelite 26cc. What do you think about the Prather 265? Is it too small?
