RE: H9 Cub Rebuild

That may be what I'll have to do. I'll just have to carve a mold and prep it. I will look on e-bay and other places.
Thanks for the reply guys. Will keep looking for the moment.

RE: H9 Cub Rebuild

That's how I discovered how different they are. I ordered one from Horizon and noted how different it was. I then split the canopy in half thinking a center post down the front wouldn't be so bad. ...

RE: Show us your Beaver!

Paul, I painted the covering on the wing. After I masked off the strips, I used very fine steel wool to scuff the surface, cleaned it with alcohol, and rubbed it down again with a tack cloth and...

RE: Show us your Beaver!

It turned out my LHS found an all-white one for me in a warehouse in Miami after KMP temporarily suspended production on the Beaver. That was good in that it allowed me to customize the color...

RE: Show us your Beaver!

Finishing up KMP Beaver with Sea Commander hardware for float rigging. I was concerned about weight. Weighed it the other day un-corrected for CG at 19 lb- 2 oz. Very pleased with that. Had to...

RE: KMP Beaver: Just started, looking for feedback

Well, after waiting on a few things and the usual distractions, the Beaver is almost done. I weighed it yesterday with no CG modifications and it was 19 lbs- 2 oz. I was expecting it to be a little...

RE: E-flite Taylorcraft

I had the same problem with a 2300 mAh battery, wouldn't fit. I had a spare 2100 mAh Thunder Power battery that slid right in. Comparing sizes, the 2300 was about 1/2" longer and a bit thicker....

RE: Show us your Beaver!

My LHS has just reserved one for me. Mid Feb is what I'm hearing. I agree with direction of E-Flight's planes. Just wrapping up their Taylorcraft. It's very nice.

Of course I'm a Beaver nut,...

RE: E-flite Taylorcraft

Almost finished with mine. Very classy looking electric plane. I have not flown it yet. In the "gotcha" department, when I first powered everything up, throttle at idle, got the customary "beeps",...

RE: Show us your Beaver!

P.S. Note: Cowling is custom fiberglass from eps plug turned on a lathe. Stock cowling is ugly and heavy, so I made my own. I can't help but tinker with ARF's.:D

RE: KMP Beaver: Just started, looking for feedback

WB- Nice pictures. Interesting muffler modification. Let us know how it holds up under the heat. I like that it all fits inside the cowl and has a single exit point. I looked at the B&B header...
