I think that moving the cowling 1.25" would be unnoticable.
Then you'll have room for the scale exhaust and, with the longer nose, you'll have a better flying model.

In my case, I had no extra funds for a pnumatic cylinder.
However, I was lucky and found room to shoe-horn in a standard servo to operate my canopy.
A retract servo has no end point adjustment....

If you have room, the big servo arm worked fine on my Zero.

I have been testing my engine setup in my new plane.
I am only able to get 7k rpm with the above mentioned prop.
This is on a used Saito.80.

I have this "fat" bladed prop on a Saito 80 which is mounted on an airplane that is calling for a .70 4stroke. So, I had some power waste...

Graupner props?

Opinions?
I have just gotten a 12.5x7.5 three bladed prop for my older Saito.80.
The blades are twice as wide as MAS.
Anybody have any experience or opinions?

Upper part of fuse infront of cockpit showing panel lines that I carved into the plain lookin plastic, with rivets of course. Also to be seen is the gunpowder burns and residew from fuse mounted...

While it can never be good as new, neither was the A6M5 in 1944.....

First step to repairing this type of covering(preprinted shelfing paper) is to carefully relieve said covering to expose the cap-strips.This is the closest surfaface to hopefully work with.
