Hi Mark,

I think Glenn Miller is a good choice for cleaning house....my plane is all foam & hot glue & tape - no balsa. I just find it easier, quicker and more fun to build with the blue foam,...

Simple -

when I scratch build (I've built 8 or 9 planes so far) I always use a little less than 1/3 the width of the wing (at the fuselage or widest point) from the leading edge of the wing....

I was on the way back from a nearby town (Laramie, Wyo) and stopped to fly about a 1/2 mile off the highway on a dirt road. Found a nice open area on a hillside and took the landing gear off my giant...

Got it painted and mostly done for now...for me this is one of those "proof of concept" build ideas and not intended to be "nice" looking up close - i.e. glued, sanded and painted...

Nice job on that VQ P-39!! That's a cool kit - did you see the price today is up to $169 now....a bit spendy - but where else can you get a 'Cobra? There's very few P-39 or P-63...

I too love the Airacobras too. So much so I've almost finished my 84" span foamie version, electric powered. It's a "ARF Scale" build for sure, kinda using the old TLAR...
