RE: ***MAGNUM 46***HELP!!!!!

You might also put a short section of stiff tubing inside the tank in the clunk line. Sometimes it folds over on itsef for just a short period and kinks. A short piece of stiff tubing will let it...

RE: Club MAGNUM !

Chris, how much fuel have you run through the 52? They may not like to idle until well broken in. I have found the idle mixture setting is relatively narrow so make only small adjustments at a time....

RE: Escapade

I just put a bridge across the cheeks under the front of the motor. Otherwise the cheeks tend to bust right off in the first nose over.

RE: Hobby King Covering film any good?

I felt that it required a lower iron setting than monocoat but it has been a while since I used lots of monocoat. I think it works just fine. I do not think that it is as stretchy as ultracoat. You...

RE: Best 60 size P47 Thunderbolt

cna I am very uncomfortable with those connectors. It looks like you have room for a zee or you could solder on a ball joint link or cleavis. ymmv

RE: Buddy box settings for Airtronics RDS8000

This also allows setting high rate for the instructor's box without it being available to the student. It is important that if the Instructor takes off and trims the model, he lets the student know...

RE: **Read Poll Question First (In First Post)** then make your selection! SILENT POLL

I assume that the film I get from Hobby King is the infamous 'chinacoat' (which works just fine) and my ultracoat has never done that, soooo......

RE: MAN reports on Airtronics SD-10G 2.4Ghz radio system

I have known people that shifted to trays with wrist rests because of arthritis or carpal tunnel surgery gone bad. It seems like not having to hold the transmitter gives them better resolution. I fly...

RE: How to identify and value inherited planes?

I would recommend doing a search with AMA for local clubs and checking to see if any have a swap meet or club auction scheduled. These kind of events can help you move the planes and other hard to...

RE: Airtronics VG6000 help

I do not have a VG6000, is this capable of PCM? If so, is it possible that you got it turned onto pcm mode?

RE: Airtronics VG6000 help

Since the transmitter turns on, it isn't a blown diode so I have to say that something got jostled loose during the battery change. I would take a minute with the back off to just look at all...

RE: Li Po Storage Box

I use two boxes on the theory that if I have a fire it will probably be during charging and I don't want to endanger stored packs. I use ammo cans lined with sheet rock. I have a welder but am lazy.

RE: Question about old engines

To amplify MinnFlyer's comment: It can be tough in some models to route the fuel line to a rear mounted needle valve....the tank/firewall can be so close that you either get a kink or need a BIG loop...

RE: *Airtronics RD8000 2.4 GHz*

Andrewskj, the actual antenna is the ~1.5" smaller diameter end of each of the black leads. The rest is shielded coax. Only the very tips need to be at 90 degrees. I would try to keep those ends a...

RE: I need to build a rc aircraft in one month please help

If it has to be "scratch" built and you can source materials in Sri Lanka, I recommend a foam plane with a profile fuselage. There are various plans online free. Pick one specifically designed as a...

RE: How to land a trainer with a loooong glide

It sin't a beginners tactic but gentle cross control of aileron and rudder will slip you in. Be sure to practice at a goodly altitude as it is a mattter of balance! This is used in full scale planes...

RE: Covering for plans

tacx, did you have any residue left from the press and seal? My efforts left a hazy coat on everything that I had the press and seal stuck on. The residue did not wipe off with alcohol. I was afraid...
