Jumping Strategy?? Place your Input Please

Alright, I am wanting to know everyone's strategy to hit and land a jump. I have my own track in my back yard with jumps that are about a foot high. Every time I land them, more often then not I...

RE: Air leak beneath Heat Sink?

No kidding, it's a little slow on take off but it idles good now....so I think the reason for not taking off fast is probably because I am running to rich. I'm going to fiddle with all of that later...

RE: Air leak beneath Heat Sink?

I actually got it running right today, I changed the glowplug and put in a OS A3 Plug and it started right up and ran...probably better then it ever has for the most part, I think I am still running...

RE: Maybe Bad Compression?

Yeah, I have the aluminum gasket in between both, I got the air leak to stop, it seems like it has compression now though, hopefully it does. I'm going to take it down the road to my friends house...

Air leak beneath Heat Sink?

I have had a very hard time lately getting my duratrax nitro evader bx dtx 18. to start and I noticed that I have lost compression and I figured it was the piston and the sleeve but just a second...

RE: Maybe Bad Compression?

No, I get most of my stuff from K/C Hobby

I just noticed something, there is a air leak in between the heat sink and the sleeve because when I turn the fly wheel bubbles form underneath the heat...

RE: Maybe Bad Compression?

Yeah, so what I think I am going to do is replace basically everything or get a new engine.

I don't mind the dtx but then again, I think I can get better rather then repairing this one every two...

RE: Maybe Bad Compression?

I'm using 16% fuel....started off with 15% so I haven't backed down on my fuels.

The plug I am using is black....not sure what temp it is though. I asked for some plugs at the hobby store and...

RE: Maybe Bad Compression?

I don't think temp has anything to do with it while trying to get it started and keeping it running for a few seconds. I'm pretty sure I never over heat it...I run about 2 tanks at a time and then...

Maybe Bad Compression?

I'm having another problem with my nitro evader, early I thought maybe it was just the needles but now i'm not sure. I've replaced the piston and sleeve about 2 weeks ago and now i'm having the same...

Rich? Lean? Normal?

Alright

I'm wondering about the DTX 18. high speed sound.

Early I played with it and I got it going and when I gave it a lot of gas it bogged down. So I figured that was running to rich...

RE: Too Lean?

I'm going to say it runs like that or my tuning is off also. I have a dtx 18. (3 cc) and when I give it a lot of throttle it has that high pitch sound sound. I'm running rich right now also because I...

RE: Doesn't Idle

Alright

I also heard that if I turn the throttle up on the controller, that will help?

I think the LSN adjustment sounds better though.

RE: Stalling Engine :(

Take your finger and spin the flywheel, if it's completely easy to spin then you don't have compression. If it is hard to spin when the piston reaches the top then you have compression, that...

Doesn't Idle

Alright, I know a lot but I don't know why or what can fix this.

My car will not idle for nothing. The idle screw is turned all the way to the right which is where its obviously suppose to be...

RE: Cleaning my RC

To clean your body and the frame, I use windex.

To clean my wheels I use soap and of course water...scrub them with a toothbrush.

I'm not sure I would do the shower thing, that is you...

RE: what temps do you guys run your .18tzs

The richer you run it the longer the piston will last.

Be careful while tuning for speed....better to go for good quality then high speeds

RE: Poor quality in electronics.

Maybe the wires in the servo aren't all the way connect...touching good enough...maybe a short some where in there.

Sounds like a poor quality servo, reciever, etc.
