RE: Is Andy still with us?

He's still there, I got a PM from him this week. I'm sure he's stressed, and my PM's didn't help.[>:]

RE: Exceed RC parts compatibility

We used to have a homemade BMX track and trails (until the town shut it down) and I bashed the living daylights out of my Infinity there. Didn't break a thing. Jumped off of 12 foot tabletops, hi...

RE: When are they coming!?!?!

Good info on the steel spurs.
I've been waiting over FOUR MONTHS for my two spur sets. I've already paid for them and the shipping as well. Haven't seen a thing in the mail yet.
I've since hung...

RE: BATTALIAN Race Quality?

Good review VV, thanks for the input!!!

I've been toying with the idea of getting either a Battalian or Tectonic from Exceed, or a Traxxas Slayer. I know each of those are in totally different...

RE: PRICE!?!

If you're just looking for different crystal sets, any 27 mghz AM will do. If you wanna change freq ranges, you'll need a new transmitter and receiver for that freq range.

RE: is exceed rc good????....

I found the parts for the T-Maxx 3.3 not at all that expensive. Yes, parts do cost more than Exceed, but when you add in the shipping costs and downtime, the price comes out almost equal. Thats my...

RE: Different Fuels

I tried every HSN setting imaginable. The temp would run in about 300 even richened out. And when I say richened, I mean killing birds and small livestock by fogging the countryside...
I spoke to...

Different Fuels

So I was running Trinity Monster HP in my T-Maxx 3.3, and had the hardest time keeping it tuned. It always ran hot (upwards of 280-300) and the idle would scream no matter how I set it.

I then...

RE: is exceed rc good????....

Well, aside from forgetting the transmitter was on the front bumper of my jeep when I pulled out of the driveway (smash! D'oh!!!), and a few trans gears, and a steering servo, and a few manufacturer...

RE: New to RC cars!!!

Simple answer: Run what you can afford. If you can't afford a lot in repairs and parts, then go cheap with a Exceed. The point is to have fun. Constantly going broke isn't fun. It took a few 'breaks'...

RE: official Everything Tmaxx thread

Well, this may sound rather stupid, but from all the videos (private and commercial), testimonies, etc., it would seem that wheelies almost come "with" the truck, if you get my meaning.
My...

RE: official Everything Tmaxx thread

I'm thinking there may have been a hairline crack or just crumbly from the factory. Now that I've replaced them, and tightened up the nut, it hole shots a LOT better. Still can't get a wheelie to...

RE: exceed truck engine help

Good job locating the leak. I kinda figured you had the ole "suck and blow" issue. There might be a hairline fissure, bad machining, a burr, or as Jim said, a bad sleeve.
Good luck on your repair.

RE: New to RC cars!!!

Go for it. Either that buggy or the Infinity Truck. They are cheap, easy to work on, and although parts are only available online, they are cheap as well. This will pave the way to bigger and better...

RE: exceed truck engine help

You may have a crack somewhere either in the carb, or in the block. Look for any unburnt oil around the engine mounts. Also you may have a loose carb to block mounting or bad o-rings in the needles...

RE: official Everything Tmaxx thread

Third day of 4908 T-Maxx ownership, 5 break-in tanks and 2 regular tanks thru it and it threw a slipper clutch shoe. No wear on the disc, spur or clutch bell.
Is this a common occurance? The other...

RE: Servo problems

You got it nailed then: bad servo. Exceed carries them for $12. Don't get the express shipping tho, standard ground shipping is cheaper and faster. Exceed shipping sucks big time. Oh, and getting...

RE: Servo problems

Check the batteries!!! Steering Servo is the first to go with batteries that are going south. The throttle will work but the steering won't. If you've installed NEW batteries and the steering still...

RE: I have been sucked in

Throw me on the "hooked" pile. Just got my 4908 T-Maxx today. WOW what a monster this is!!! I've got the first break in tank finished and working on the second. It's SOOO hard to resist running it...
