My first crash. :(

Thanks for the encouragement guys! :)

I bought a Hangar 9 Alpha ARF (as much as I hate to fly an ARF, I really like the feeling of flying what I've built) so that I can keep in the air while...

cheap begginer plane?

SPADs aren't kits you buy. You build them from chloroplast signs and plans you can get for free on the net.

Check out www.spadtothebone.com

I've not built one, but that spadet is really nice...

4 star 40 monokote trim question?

One other thing to be careful of when applying stripes, and this only applies to monokote, is if you get froggy with the heat gun, the coloring is a part of the adhesive and will leave a smudge...

4*60 Kit questions

Just eye ball it, it's not a deal killer, just need to give clearance for the surfaces to move up and down. Just sand a nice V on the LE and round off the TE to suit your cosmetic preferences.

So, I have not...

Got my Four Star 60 kit in today!!!

Just my opinion, I'd leave the control linkages alone. I've read on hear many who have stated the stock ones were subject to expanding/contraction with weather that adversely affected flight, but...

Trainer reccomendations

Your choice of engine/plane are excellent. I've flown the Midwest Aerostar, Hangar 9 Alpha, and Sig LT-40 and have to say I prefer the LT-40. They're all really good planes and any would do fine,...

Wrong plane 4 birthday

Glad to hear your wife is OK with it. I returned a watch my wife got me for christmas one time (it was totally NOT like what I'd told her I wanted), and she still brings it up 3 years later!

Not sure who you're asking. But I'm talking about a board that's permanently a part of a workbench, which is what it sounded like he wanted.

This would SUCK if you wanted one to move around. MDF...
