RE: Re: Nitro Savage Speed truck

Ok, right now there is a good competition going on here. I like both builds. I think Sunshine has the potential of getting faster "in theory" by power to weight ratio but not sure if the truck is...

RE: 60mph Savage Speed

That truck right there is a testament to two things, first a guy that is willing to do whatever he can to make the project happen. LL is one hell of a builder and is coming up with some cool stuff...

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!

I went though about 10 different radio boxes in many different locations and this one just seemed to fit perfect in between the massive LST shocks. To me it just made sense. It was in the bargain bin...

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!

Yes the battery and receiver are both in the back. It is the radio box from a E-Savage which was a 1/10 scale. Well it was actually the HB version which was called the E-Zilla I think.

RE: New servo

^^ I could not agree more Foxy, I use 175 OZ in my 1/10 on-roads. An 1/8 really does need a lot more umph behind it.

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!

RE: Traxxas engine life?

That is not being anal that is called normal nitro engine maintenance. IF you want it to last you really have to do that. I see a lot of Traxxas 3.3 that meet their end through split con rods. I have...

RE: PICS OF YOUR SAVAGES !!

Skillet, I have a shop that does some of the same work except for F-16s and A-10s. You are correct it is not the average job to make the stuff. It also takes the right glue, presses, heat...

RE: what glow plug

The heat rating of a plug is what helps control the ignition timing of the engine not for the outside air temp. A hot plug ignites the mixture more easily than a cold plug so the hotter the plug the...

RE: New servo

I used a HV BlueBird servo for my Savage. You don't have to worry about voltage since it can be ran off of a 2S Lipo as long as your receiver can handle it. This one uses a Futaba spline pattern.

RE: 60mph Savage Speed

Yeah Skillet I am pretty sure it is doable. Just that spur exploding sucks and the cooling head was not looking too happy either. But that is the name of the game right? I am pretty sure you are...

RE: 086 pipe exhaust deflector

Um, I know it just might be a personal thing but I would not recommend the exhaust deflectors. They cause additional back pressure in the exhaust system and the additional length added also changes...
