How do you know if the one way bearing has gone? I think that's whats causing the starter to spin over. I tried cleaning the bearing with fuel and putting it back in and it just did the same thing....

I picked my engine up today after it had been fixed. I fitted the engine back onto the chassis expecting the car to work. I started the car and it ran for about 5 seconds and stopped working again....

I am going on holiday to the Carribean... My engine has been sent back to Ripmax/Global for free repairs, and is due back hopefully before I get back. At least when the holiday is over I can look...

Ripmax is a company within Europe that distributes XTM products, whereas in America the company that distributes XTM products are under the name of Global Hobbies.

The porting for the exaust was facing in the engine so there was only a little gap for smoke to escape.

My engine is still in the store, and the shop owner has the pics. I will post pics if I can get the them sometime soon. Yes the pison/sleeve and clutch shoes were fitted wrong after warenty repairs...

My engine does turn over via the fly wheel. I was just not pushing on it hard enough. Does anyone know which order all the nuts etc assemble to get the clutch bell spinning properly?

Hi everyone,

My engine was not starting so I did a check for air leaks, and I discovered that my carb was not completely sitting in the crankcase. So I loosened the pinch bolt and pushed it back...

I use a Cirrus radio and I have had no problems so far. I believe Cirrus works well with futaba gear, so you should be OK with a Futaba RXS alongside the Cirrus radio as long as they are on same...

I always check my glow plug at the end of each run. I do notice the very tip of the silver coil in the glow plug is black. My plug is only new! Is this normal?

My XTM 24.7 did this and then the con rod eventually broken. After the con rod was replaced I richened the HSN half a turn and replaced the glow plug and it seemed fine.

I thought more fuel enters the engine at low speeds because there is not so much air getting in and at high speeds less fuel enters the engine because more air is getting in which is what speeds up...

Yes the engine would be running rich if fuel is spitting from the exaust however this is normal for new engines. Set the low speed needle back to stock and then start tuning it to suit your needs.

I noticed in another post you said "fuel was spitting from the tank". Do you mean fuel is leaking out from the fuel tank?
