solved oscilation on skylark

You're getting bad vibration, correct? If the flybar has been broken, I'd replace it asap.

As for the paddles, they need to be balanced perfectly, and level when the swash is level. IMO, the...

gws mustang (right thrust?)

Mine is the same way. I think it might be due to a slight inperfection in the mold or something.

Went flying today

The weather was just fantastic today in Cali, so I was forced to take my P-51 out for a stroll. About 1 mile from my house is a large park/soccer field with nice, thick, well mowed grass. It's almost...

gws mustang (right thrust?)

I don't follow...what is right thrust?

I have a Stang, but haven't noticed anything I thought was odd as far as the direction of thrust.

what is... ?

I'm not 100% sure, but I'd think that motor is much too heavy for an electric plane. But I suppose that depends on how big the plane is.

Also, a 27T motor probably wouldn't have enough torque to...

Making a discharger

I need to make a discharger for my AAA packs, but I don't really have the first idea of where to start. I've seen dischargers made using lightbulbs. Would something like that work for a nimh pack...

Terminology

Yes, I realize those sizes are unrealistic, but they were more or less to make it easier for me to visualize them. Thanks for the help guys!

Terminology

So which would produce more thrust, a 10x1 or a 10x20? It would be the 10x20 right?

Digital Pulse

I've been using the charger for over a year, mostly for my Piccolo. It does a pretty good job keeping my packs cool and can charge up to 9.6v packs. Makes a bit of noise (fans), but I've never...

GWS 1047 Prop

Yes, everything stock. I have 2 AAA 9.6v packs which fly beautifully in the P-51. I also have 2 AA 9.6v packs, which are a bit heavy.

What I'm getting at is if I absolutely must fly using the AA...

New motor for GWS P-51?

What would be a good upgrade? I have an extra Orion Elite Modified motor, and was thinking of using that. It's a coreless motor intended for the HPI Micro RS4, but many people use it in their...

GWS 1047 Prop

Well, the reason I ask is because I flew it once with the stock prop and the AA pack, and it was underpowered. The idea I had was the larger prop would produce more thrust at around 3/4 throttle...

GWS 1047 Prop

Is the only problem in using this prop with the stock "C" gearbox drawing a high amperage from the battery and heating it up? Because I have an 1850mah 9.6v AA pack (which should be able to take a...

Woo hoo!!

I'll be ditching the AA packs for my GWS Mustang after today for sure! Flew on a 9.6v AAA nimh pack instead of my AA pack, and wow!!! It practically flies itself now! I do miss flying for 15 mins...

I've read alot about people having difficulty trying to get the CG on this plane closer to the nose. Did anyone try moving the motor/gearbox assembly slightly farther forward? I unscrewed the...
