RE: The Official Losi Desert Truck Thread!

I've been thinking for a while about getting the mini DT. So what the heck I went ahead and got one. I really didn't have high expectations for it. I put in the Castle Mamba Micro before I ever drove...

RE: Which 4wd electric buggy?

I've got a XXX-4G and really like it but I don't think it will hold up to bashing. It's more of a racer, fast and handles great but dosen't like hitting stuff.

RE: The Official Losi Desert Truck Thread!

I run on a hard packed dirt track. I started out using the stock tires then switched to the Proline dirt hawgs. This really improved rear traction and steering. Today I tried some Proline Bowtie M3...

RE: The Losi 8ight E has arrived!

I'll agree that Losi's premounted tires will come loose. Mine didn't come all the way off but almost. If you want it done right do it yourself.

RE: The Losi 8ight E has arrived!

I've run Deans up to 4Kw on my planes with no issues, just make shure you get real "Deans" connectors not the cheap knockoffs. If it's not in a Deans bag it's a knockoff. The knockoff connector...

RE: The Losi 8ight E has arrived!

Handy, how does the car jump?? Do you have to carry some throttle to keep it from noseing over?
Mine likes to nose over without throttle on. I'm thinking it may be the Neu motor with the strong...

RE: The Losi 8ight E has arrived!

I went to my "local" track today and just beat the snot out of my buggy. I broke both rear wing mounts. It's a tighter track with alot of jumps. I really need to work on the jumps big time. It's hard...

RE: The Official Backyard Track Thread!

Here is my backyard track. It's for 1/10 scale vehicles. If I could get some more trees out of the way i'd make it a little bigger.

A short video of me and two friends....

RE: The Losi 8ight E has arrived!

One thing I did do when I got the 2.0 race roller was to sell all the nitro related gear in it. So I essentialy got the conversion kit for free. The new 2.0 servo tray is in high demand for nitro...

RE: The Losi 8ight E has arrived!

One option like what I did. Buy a 2.0 race roller, conversion kit and the Castle-Neu combo. That way you get the new 2.0 upgrades plus a smokin motor esc combo.

RE: The Official Losi Desert Truck Thread!

I'll agree that now matter how you gear the DT the 5700 on 3s is way too much power for off road. I run my 5700 one on-road. For my track the stock brushed one on 2s is plenty fast enough. As far as...

RE: The Official Losi Desert Truck Thread!

Where do you get those rpm numbers??? You would have to have a 20,000mah battery for it not to drop any voltage.

I run the 5700 and 3s it's quiet fast and been running for several months with no...

RE: The Losi 8ight E has arrived!

Thanks for the tip on checking the servo saver. One other question. I mounted the servo to the buggy without using the rubber gromments. Should I use the gromments or is mounting it directly ok?

RE: The Losi 8ight E has arrived!

LoL I didn't know there is another hole for the servo wire, I guess I need to look a little closer, that would solve that issue.
I have not done anything to the servo saver, it's just as it came...

RE: The Losi 8ight E has arrived!

I'll try that, im shure it will make it better.

I'm thinking about making the wiring hole just a tad bigger going into the RX box. Do you guys see anything wrong with doing that?

On my...

RE: The Losi 8ight E has arrived!

It's more of the shape of the body than than the actual clips. Having pull tabs would make them easier to get off for shure but it's also hard to get the rear one on. No big deal really but it could...

RE: 1/10 RC Formula 1 Cars...lets see'em

I'm just starting on the build up of my F-103. I'm going to start at the front of this thread and read it all at some point. I did a search for decals and didn't have much luck.

Where is the...

RE: The Official Losi Desert Truck Thread!

I'd like to speak on durability for the Desert truck. In stock form with the stock brushed motor it is a durable truck. If you put in a brushless system and a BIG battery you have changed two things....

RE: suggestions for 8ight-E components

On batteries, If you go 4s you'll need 5000mah, if you go 5s go with the 4000mah to get the same runtime. 4s will pull more amps than a 5s so you'll need larger packs, so the weight equals out. 5s is...

RE: The Losi 8ight E has arrived!

Yea, I understand it opens up when throttle is off, I guess what we need to know what it does when the electric motor is brakeing.

I'm very happy with the Castle-Neu combo. The only thing is the...

RE: The Losi 8ight E has arrived!
