RE: HPI E-10 Battery

Yes you can. Assuming its a 6 cell 7.2v pack you can use any mah rated pack you like. The mah determines the runtime so a 5000mah will give you a decent run time.

RE: engine mount will not stay tight

are you letting the loctite cure after you screw them in?

I had the same problem, so i cleaned out the threads and put them in the position with blue loctite, left for 24 hours to cure. Havnt...

RE: HELP: bent chassis?

Doubt it is a bent chassis, but take the wheels off and put it on a known flat surface. You will be able to tell pretty quickly if your chassis is bent.

Sounds like there might be a bent...

RE: Locked engine

If the motor cooled whilst the motor was at TDC, the sleve could have shrunk around the piston and caused it to lock. Try heating the engine with a heat gun or hairdryer and give it a go, assuming...

RE: Official HPI E-10 Thread

Look at the picture you posted of the mount. The top mounting hole on the hot-racing mount is not centered, here is a side profile mock-up.

RE: rwd drifting

Ah no, "drifting" a FWD car is definitely not drifting. Its just throwing the car into a corner and rippin the handbrake, id like to see a FWD link up a whole track while keeping the wheels spinning....

RE: FROZEN GAS ENGINE

Hmmm if the engine has cooled while the piston is a TDC you could have a problem.

I would heat up the engine as best you can with a heat gun, and the use a screwdriver on the flywheel to...

RE: Official HPI E-10 Thread

Nice to see HPI finally released an alloy motor mount. The first thing i bought for my e10 was the hot-racing aluminium motor mount, imo is an essential item otherwise the gear mesh just isnt right...

RE: Batteries, run time, and speed.

Just for future reference, this post wasnt meant as a be all and end all description on which lipo battery to get. It was basically just to show a (very basic) example on how to compare 2 batteries...

RE: What servo(s) to use?

Not sure what the HRS feature is, but i can say that i use a Futaba 9551 low profile and its a fantastic and realiable servo. If you dont need a low profile however, im sure you could get something...

RE: Batteries, run time, and speed.

No. Runtime is determined by the Mah rating of the battery. a 3200mah battery wont last as long as a 5000mah battery.

What a 3s will give you in comparison to a 2s is more voltage. More voltage...

RE: clutch shoes and springs

If your having trouble, pick up a kyosho clutch shoe tool.

Makes the job 10x easier, and a lot quicker. I stuggled the first time, bought the tool and its really worth it. And only about $5US

RE: Official HPI E-10 Thread

That link doesnt say anything about motor limit, so i would stay away from it.

The stock e10 esc can handle 21-27 turn motors (and in my opinion you wouldnt want any faster than that in this car)....

I agree.</p>

I love mucking around with nitros, way more fun for bashing when you have lots of time. However in a racing situation, id rather spend more time tweaking the car and actually driving...

RE: Exhaust manifold BENDING?!?!

I doubt it will be from the heat. You probably got a knock on the pipe (stinger most likely) which caused the header to bend.</p>

Happened to me the other day :(</p>

RE: What should I do to clean the glowplug before I unscrew it?

might be worth grabbing a can of compressed air for the field, that way you can blow it down should you need to change glow plugs.

RE: idle for ~5 secs, then shuts off. Need help.

Not having a go here, but nitro engines (especially new engines once broken in) will need to be tuned most times you run them. Relying on a hobby shop to do so will just cost you a heap and you wont...

RE: HPI Car Won't Idle

If you havent touched the needles from factory it sounds like there might be an air leak causing the car to run lean. Carb could also be binding and open more than it should be.

Best bet is to...
