RE: e-flite mini edge 540

Try your local hobby store. If they don't carry them, go to:
www.Atlantahobby.com or www.e-flightline.com. They both distribute the plane in the U.S. for Precision Aerobatics which is in Australia....

RE: e-flite mini edge 540

Good knife edge from the Mini Edge???

I'm suprised people are still messing with this rock! As someone stated so brilliantly in an earlier post; the Mini Edge is a flying turd!...

RE: e-flite mini edge 540

[quote]ORIGINAL: mayday

Well, a few posts back referred to the Edge as a flying turd.

That being the case, I finally cartwheeled my turd down the runway. Tip-stalled while trying to...

RE: e-flite mini edge 540

I would get the Precision Aerobatics Mini Katana. Get the November/ December issue of 3D Flyer and you can read the reviews on all 3 side by side. (E-flites ME & MF and Pres. Aero's Mini Katana) The...

RE: e-flite mini edge 540

Rob,

It really sounds to me like too much elevator throw. Are you running dual rates? How much throw on the elevator? On my 40% Carden Edge I had to roll way back on elevator throw from what I...

RE: e-flite mini edge 540

Rob,

I totally agree as far as the ME not being an overall good 3D plane, however, it does sound like there's something wrong in your case. I'm not having that problem. It's possible that...

RE: e-flite mini edge 540

Rob,

Next time you fly your ME try it with very little elevator throw. I'm pretty confident it will take care of the snapping out of loops. Basically, as you know, snaps are induced by...

RE: e-flite mini edge 540

Rob,

This is basically the problem I have with my ME. I did do away with the problem of snapping out of loops by lowering the elevator throw considerably. As far as the harriers you need full...

GR

No I cannot post a link to the reviews. I didn't read them online. If you wan't to read them so bad, get yourself a copy of either Backyard Flyer, 3D flyer, or Fly RC. They all have...

RE: E-Flight Yak-54F Setup

Thats rediculous,

Some giant scale planes are set-up for crossed pull-pull systems, but the yak canot be set-up this way. The lines have to run paralel to each other on the yak.

RE: e-flite mini edge 540

Yeah, it's a beautiful plane. (no just kidding). Just today at the field I had the pleasure of flying a Mini Funtana with a Hacker A30-28 and X-30 speed controller. The 1st time I flew that plane it...

RE: e-flite mini edge 540

I wouldn't recomend bigger servo arms then the stock hs-55's. (the biggest one that comes with the Hs 55). Even those are unnecesary unless u are a very proficient 3D flyer. People are over...

RE: e-flite mini edge 540

"I atribute this to experience and skill" (your quote). You just happen to be right. It takes alot more skill to fly a $10,000.00 plane inches above the ground than it does to fly a $300.00 plane 30...

RE: flight times!

There is something seriously wrong with your setup. With a plane that light, you should be getting closer to 20 minute flights. You didn't mention what type of motor comes stock with the plane so I...

Hey Rob,

Did you get to fly your ME this morning? How did it go? I sure would like to know if you had better luck than I did. Thanks!!

RE: e-flite mini edge 540

Hey Rob,

Yeah! I have the new built up Ultimate Foamy. It flys awesome! Almost as good as the yak. The only difference is the coupling which was pretty bad but I was able to mix...

RE: e-flite mini edge 540

I know everyone has their own opinions, but I'm beginning to believe that the heavier built up electrics (ME, MF, MK) just don't fly as well as the foamies. I'd be interested to hear from someone who...

RE: e-flite mini edge 540

Hey Rob,

I couln't reccomend which hi-max to put in the yak because I'm not familiar with those motors. Although I've heard nothing but good thing about them. As far as my E-flight...

RE: e-flite mini edge 540

It's funny you ask... My favorite just happens to be the E-flight Yak 54f designed by Quique Somenzini. The yak is unreal. Fly it at a snails pace and its its as stable as can be. No coupling at all...
