RE: show us your gliders

This us a 85.75in. wing for a 36.5in fuse. I was told to put spoilers on it but I have no idea how to set up the mechanism. Also, if spoilers were on the wing, they would probaly be right in front of...

RE: Royal Kits

I'm still wording on the P-38. The tail frame is somewhat completed. The ribs, parts S-1 and S-2, are 3/32 off center for the spars, so i think i'll need to reconstruct the whole frame. Besides that,...

RE: Remote firing

i thought it would be better (and easier) to just balance the plane out first without the motor then just have the motor ejected with a chute to bring it down. I don't think the motor will cause to...

RE: Remote firing

Hi.
I had an idea to convert some slope gliders into rocket powered aircraft. i finished the fusalage and know where to buy wings. The plane kinda looks like the German Komet in WWII. The body's...

RE: Royal Kits

P-38 build is on hold right now. The workspace has long term water damage and a helpful colony of termites. Good time to go look for wood...

RE: Royal Kits

The plans show the engines mounted regularly, but gives an outline of the inverted engines. The plans don't mention size. I got plenty of time to figure this all out, so no rush. By the way, does...

RE: Royal Kits

Dail, what size engine did you put in the p-38, and how does inverting the engine affect the planes performance? I'm thinking of inverting the engines for streamlining. Did you dope or monokote the...

RE: Royal Kits

The 84in. wing was for a glider someone gave me. The wing was mounted underneath the fuse and was 8in. wide. I just started working on the other sheet with the booms. Lots of sanding.[:'(]

RE: Royal Kits

Just loading up pictures of the 84in. wing, ribs, and a couple other miscellaneous parts. Almost completed the first sheet. Notice that the plans got cut off when they were copied. It might not look...

RE: Royal Kits

The p-39 is my first gas-powered twin engine plane. I've scratch built planes before, all electric, but most of my time has been spent fixing planes people give me. I just finished building a 84in....

RE: Royal Kits

I'm building a royal p-38 starting with a set of plans. working on about 1 piece a week, since this is my first gas powered plane. Actually, this only the 3rd plane i've ever built from start to...

Balsa rib constuction/Prowler construction

I'm new to balsa construction and decided to construct an old Prowler from scratch. The plane looks pretty simple in design and doesn't need too much trimming to the balsa. Right now I would just...

RE: Rocket powered RC

I have no expeirience with rc balsa planes, so balsa is sadly not an option right now. The loss of wieght would have made flying a lot easier, but Ill stick to something I know how to work with. I...

RE: Newbie to RC flight

Yes, the 60-minute epoxy will give you more strength and you will probably need it since you guys are just starting. The balsa kit looks pretty resiliant, but you should take your time just to make...

RE: Rocket powered RC

Where am i going to get a pair of faom wings to glue to the fuse? I'm not going to use balsa because of the fire hazard. The delta wing is a good idea, ill set the wing back to the very back of the...

RE: I AM CURSED!!!!

Maybe you should try to get a CombatWing. Wings are performance planes, so you can do all those tricks, the don't have landing gear, are only 3-channel,(with motor), and are pretty much unbreakable....

RE: Electric to build

How about trying to biuld a flying wing? They have basically the best performance and are very durable. You probably need to upgrade the servos, though. It depends if you want to biuld something out...
