Yup, got my new rx/rx 2.4 fm.. It's the ess system when the speaker in on is interfering with the am system.. Don't know why.. But it's working great with my 2.4 system.

guess what sir... it wasnt because its of the rx/tx its because of the magnetic field from ess.. the ess doesnt want to be inside the hull of the tank.. i tried placing the ess outside and problem...

You should be good.. but i doubt the smoke generator will work.. mine is the same thing, i didnt fired up my HL tigers (upgraded) since 2009 and batteries are still inside the unit. i just charged it...

go with gear reduction.. if your not wlling to buy a new gear box.. you can just modify your stock gear box.. i think most of us here did the same.. =)
