RE: Can It Take Off??

RE: Can it take off, redux

Greetings, Rat1, how are things over in the RRValley?

I'm not a mathematician, physicist, aerodynamic engineer, or aeronautical. Heck, it took me a while just to make sure I had all of those...

RE: How can a totally flat airfoil fly?

Very cool discussion, and a "thank you" to everyone who commented on my question. Almost makes me wish I had studied aeronautics rather than computer science, but it's a little late to change that...

RE: How can a totally flat airfoil fly?

Actually, it wasn't meant as a trick question [8D] (Although I just read through six pages of nonsense on the "Can it fly?" thread - the answer is yes, of course). Let's say the airplane is flying...

RE: How can a totally flat airfoil fly?

This is a great thread, and very educational.

One question, regarding BMatthews' explanation above: Using a commercial airliner as an example (I worked at Boeing, so I'll use the 777), let's...

RE: Question about elevon setup on a Flash 5X radio

I understand the complexities involved. That's why I tried to be as specific as possible. I have no idea how much time you, as reps, can devote to answering these questions. Especially given that...

RE: PT-40 How much Dihedral

On a tangent to this thread, I'd like to ask about suggestions for an engine for a PT-40, built with the add'l dihedral.

RE: Flash 5X + Flash 5 buddy box Question

Mike,
Do you mean hit cut/save while the master has the switch set to the slave box, or when it is in the normal (master) position? I guess I'll try it both ways. Thanks for the hint.
