I agree, but It seem that what I am hearing is that he is gonna get a steel EXT diff witch would be locked..either way (i have both trannys) I would be very interested if it would be proven durable...

I see that someone is trying to get a locked steel diff gear machined for the ext trans..sounds good, I too would be...

So does this mean if the idlers I found (ex: the 28t) are bigger(?) they could work with the ST tranny(stock upper +B2 diff)?...Or does this make no sense at all???

I looked here and there...but only found 27,28,30t idlers(witch have the good size), but no luck with 29t(witch is what the ST uses).

Has anyone ever put a smaller idler in their RC?? would be...

Anyone know if there is a steel idler out there to replace the aluminium one fro the ST gen tranny?? Ive oficially stripped mine...

Yeah i hear ya, hear in Montreal most of the summer are really crappy, although this year was pretty good. As for the track idea, ive already tried it , but you have to be willing to take very good...

postive+negative+metal=not good

..all this to say be careful adding this, could be a bad idea.
as lug said, the dirt and all the rest of the crap that ends-up in you truck is...

Why keep your motor dry....Im almost sure ive seen a video somewere saying motor dont need to be dry and that they can be submerged(just need to properly break it in...

I strongly suggest the gladiator have had a pair for about 3yrs and just got some new ones resently.
I do suggest you duct tape the inside since they tend to "balloon" alot, with will decrease...

Yeah I have a ST and I recently got a Used EXT.

OK thanks on input for the brace...hhahah I also realised what you said about tower, saw the front knuckles for like 9$ once.

First of all, my B2 drive rings on my ST died on me, had to spend a long while cleaning the tranny from all...

Well the B2 drive rings on my ST completley shreded a week ago...got some replacements though :).

And now after a run.. I lost all power to the CVDs along with a very loud skreech.. Didnt open...

Ok well I have another question regarding the tranny on the ST....
Would it work if I get rid of the little plastic thrust ring and add extra thrust ball to fill the empty spaces?

Im asking...

Agreed....Ive already thought of it, but why waste all your time and money to make a 2wd into 4wd when you can go an buy one(witch would cost way less instead of chopping a prefectly good truck).
