RE: cub ground roll

I have a 71" wingspan J-3 that took alot of practice to get into the air smoothly...it was always a battle. It's a rough field, so everything had to be perfect, and ya had to be right on top of the...

RE: Good Beginner Kit

My first build was a sig midstar. I did some modifications on mine...I wish I would have made balsa copies of a lot of the plywood fuselage parts that don't need to be made of plywood...it's pretty...

RE: The Goldberg Ultimate biplane...is dead.

I agree, it's definately not a 3d plane. That being said, if a person wanted to put enough engine on the front, I think it would hover, do harriers, and definately have unlimited climb and do some of...

RE: The Goldberg Ultimate biplane...is dead.

Mine had a .91 webra two stroke on the front and flew pretty good, good verticle and nice, steep climb out after a fairly short takeoff roll. It still didn't have the power for unlimited verticle or...

RE: spelling and grammar check

Hammydown...that made me laugh! I think I'll start using that one. The "I mise well " instead of "I might as well" is a midwestern / southern thing, especially down here in kansas, oklahoma, missouri...

Lookin' good! I'm jealous! I wish I could start on mine, unfortunately it's going to be awhile since I'm going to be on the road quite a bit for the next few years...

RE: Jet Legend Buyers Beware

First of all, I don't have to frequent the jet forums or any others to comment on something. It's a free, public forum. Second, I misunderstood what I read, and then promptly APOLOGIZED for it. I...

RE: Jet Legend Buyers Beware

So it appears I did have a failure in comprehension. I wasn't aware that the elevators came pre-installed on the metal tube...so, SORRY! I guess you could always take your fingers and squeeze the...

RE: Jet Legend Buyers Beware

WRONG. He said he GLUED a METAL tube to a WOOD surface and expected it to HOLD. He noticed there wasn't any pins to hold the metal tube, just GLUE. So, who's missing information and having reading...

RE: Jet Legend Buyers Beware

So, let me get this straight. You folks spend THOUSANDS of dollars on a jet, and then don't bother to look at the design of the airframe for possible FLAWS before you assemble it and put it in the...

RE: Good all around plane

GP U-can-do .60...yeah, it's technically a 3d plane, but if you set up some low rates and limit the throws, it's a great flying plane. It was my second plane after a trainer! It lands itself, just...

RE: The Goldberg Ultimate biplane...is dead.

I have a kit that I'll be building sometime in the future, and I'm going to make templates of all the parts as well as copies of the manual and the plans. I'm just not sure when I'll be able to start...

I'm 32 but I'm still in my kit building infancy; so far I'm enjoying it. That being said, I probably like flying more than working on things, but only because I'm not that mechanically inclined, nor...
