Batman lives!

Not RC, but some of the most stunning aerial shots I've yet to see. And will make the hairs stand up on the back of your neck. Awesome.

RE: Sebart Pilatus PC21 E50 Build thread

Hi. The gear problem on early versions is now well known. Some have 'cured' it by setting the gear endpoints to +/-125% which seems to work. I find that rolling inverted soon after take off will...

RE: 15 yr old concept 30

If the motor and servos are still OK. Then just change the batterypack and maybe get a decent heading lock gyro (GY240 or similar) I'd personally give it a full strip and re-build and see if any...

RE: Nib nexus 30??

Keep the radio and just list the heli. Might be a good sale if it reaches a collector.

It's the future.........

http://www.engadget.com/2010/02/03/horizon-debuts-h-cell-2-0-hydrogen-fuel-cell-system-for-r-c-cars/

Give it ten years, and we'll all be using it...... Or not.

RE: NEXUS V. CONCEPT 30

Hi. I'd give them both a miss now. Both have been out of production for many years and the parts availablity is a major problem now. I still run a Concept SR-T in my fleet and it's a great flying...

RE: Transmitter (T9chp) Setup For Concept 30 Dx

Not a problem. We all had to start somewhere didn't we?

I learned to fly helis with a DX about 12 years ago and still have fond memories of it. But they are very rare now, and parts are almost non...

RE: Transmitter (T9chp) Setup For Concept 30 Dx

Hi. Have a look at this: http://www.heliguy.com/nexus/programming.html

It's for the Kyosho Nexus, but a lot of it will transfer over the same. Should help you along a little :)

RE: Goldberg Ultimate Biplane Engine

the idea came to me as I was looking for a big Ult. My local printers did me three copies, blown up from the original. Two to build on and one for reference. The only problem was finding a canopy and...

RE: Goldberg Ultimate Biplane Engine

Yeah, I know what you mean. I repaired one of my old birds recently and couldn't believe the mess it was. Still flying though :)

I used a Tindel EvoII smoke system. Great little self contained...

Glassing ?

Now I've built a few balsa kits over the years, but never had to glass one before, so i'm a bit lost on how to do it. Can anyone point me in the right direction or give some tips on a super...

RE: Goldberg Ultimate Biplane Engine

Got to love the Goldberg plans. I blew mine up to 1/3 scale and with 3W 60cc gas power. And it builds and flys just as well! Was really sad to sell it on earlier this year, but I'm looking to build...

RE: Kyosho Comcept 30 + modern radio equipment

Hi. The Concept is an old bird now and parts are getting increasingly hard to come by..... But it's still a great heli to fly. I learned to fly on a DX and still have an SR-T in my fleet!

Here's...

I know. 777 was just the hook to grab the attention :) 737 doesn't sound as good.

RE: rebuilding the gp ultimate 160

The 3W is one of the CS (Competition Series) engines. It's been in a couple of big models of mine so is running in nicely now! Doesn't seem to lack power, It'll climb out of a prop hang and keep...

RE: what kind of price to ask for kyosho cocept 30 ?

I, like Cuda, learned to fly with a Concept 30 way back in .92 (I still have a hanger queen SR-T model) And they make great learning helis..... But one crash and you'll be stuck for parts. It's been...

RE: what kind of price to ask for kyosho cocept 30 ?

Could be worth quite a bit to the right person. They are vintage helis now, so to collectors, an un-used one will be most sought after. I'd recommend the eBay route. Possibly with worldwide viewing...

RE: SebArt Sukhoi 30E

Lol. It's a bit of a monster! 80 inch span (1/3 scale) with a 3W 60cc petrol engine, Tindal Evo smoke system & eight high torque metal geared digi servos!

It's a scratch build Ultimate based on...

RE: SebArt Sukhoi 30E

Sorry to say that I've killed mine :( Was doing a rolling harrier at about 12" and snagged a wing. It rolled over, nose, wing tail and somehow managed to break every bone in it's body. Probably...

RE: Concept 30 fell into my lap

It would be safer to cut the boom to length rather than extending the drive shaft. I've had a heli at 200ft when it stripped a tail gear! Not much fun trying to land it I can tell you :)

If you...

RE: Concept 30 fell into my lap

Parts are a ***** to find for these bird now I'm afraid. Mine is pretty much a shelf queen that only comes out on perfect fluffy white cloud days (not many of those in the UK!) But there is no reason...
