RE: OFFICAL SC10 thread

I broke my original front end within a week of buying mine last year.

I replaced the fronts with the AE Carbon...

RE: ever going dispute electric or nitro?

Once again, I didn't say it won't go fast. What I have said repeatedly is that these are off road cars and if you run them in the dirt you are not going to do 65mph. You just stated that you are at a...

RE: ever going dispute electric or nitro?

I didn't say they won't hit some crazy speeds. I have VXL Rusty and it s stupid fast. I also have an eRevo with the Mamba Monster and on the road in a straight line it proably gets over 50 on 3S X 2...

RE: ever going dispute electric or nitro?

SyCo_VeNoM I completely agree with you. I see so many posts on these boards about 70MPh Pedes and Rustys that I am sick of it. I love my Pede cause it is a blast to drive. The only way it is gonna...

RE: ever going dispute electric or nitro?

There is not a day in this world that a pede beats a 4tecs unless the 4tecs is upside down when you start or you are not on decent pavement.

RE: ever going dispute electric or nitro?

I have serious doubts that you outran a nitro touring car on the pavement with a Pede. I have a tricked out all Carbon Fiber pede with a Havok 8.5 (not very hot) and with a 2S 35C it pulls a wheelie...

RE: ever going dispute electric or nitro?

A lot of opinions here but I will still weigh in. First, my RC background. I started with my first RC in 1979, a .60 series Nitro Hydroplane in Virginia Beach, VA. As I was an E5 in the navy at the...

RE: The Official Traxxas 4wd Slash Thread...

So I have to ask as this has been bugging me, why change to Deans unless ur charger and existing batteries are already deans?

I was in the sport in the mid 80s through 2001 and was a huge fan of...

RE: OFFICAL SC10 thread

As MCSRacing said, FT team shocks can't be beat when they are built right. I have not tried the new bleeded caps but I think they will be a monster boost in ensuring the shocks are right. I have...

RE: OFFICAL SC10 thread

I'm running the FT shocks from the T3. Great shocks on the track, but I am not sure I would recommend them if you are not used to building AE shocks.

RE: The Official Traxxas 4wd Slash Thread...

Gotta agree with guys2nv, I have 6 Traxxas trucks, 5 AE trucks and 2 LOSIs, they all have issues when I beat them, but I put significanlty more money into the ARs and significanlty more parts....

RE: MGT 8.0 ROCKS! Upgrades???

I had the LST2 with the 454 and a MGT 8.0. I stripped the radio out of the LST2 after 3 months and sold the truck on Ebay. The MGT is a much better truck for bashing and having fun, the LST2 was a...

RE: TANDEM RESCUE

Got mine Saturday, LHS had 6. Looks like it will be a blast once I figure it out. I have the mCX and mSR, as a noob, I bought the mSR first and found out that they are harder to fly than I thought....

RE: OFFICAL SC10 thread

They are great for the ease of switching tires and not having to glue them, but they are comparitivly heavy. Remamber that weight on wheels and tires (rolling or spinning weight) has more effect...

RE: The Official Traxxas 4wd Slash Thread...

Depending on whether your a north sider or a south sider, to the north in wheeling is a GREAT LHS called Venture Hobbies. Also to the north and northwest there is a good Hobby Town in Northbrook,...

RE: The Official Traxxas 4wd Slash Thread...

You are correct, Cryatal Lake is a suburb of Chicago, 1 hour and 20 mins by train away. We have 5 hobby towns in the area. One 2 miles away, the next closest is 40 mins without traffic. We have 2...

RE: The Official Traxxas 4wd Slash Thread...

Mail order can be a great thing, especially on a budget. But, being happy to "torq off the LHS" sucks, because when we break our RC's, who do we turn to for replacment parts and when we can't figure...

RE: OFFICAL SC10 thread

As I stated above, The Traxxas tires are better than the SC10, I do run them but there are not as good as the goosebumps or Proline.

RE: OFFICAL SC10 thread

I agree that the stock SC10 tires suck. I have a set of the Slash tires which work well if it is a little mucky. I primarily bounce between Goosebumps and Proline Bowties, they seem to cover just...
